Also, it tries to balance FARMS better than some others.

I'm submitting survey feedback in favor option B.

At least they improved it from the prior rounds.

How exactly does option B balance farms?

It doesn't it's just the least bad on FARMS compared with the other 3 options so it gives White liberals in west county the warm fuzzies and eases their useless White guilt about hoarding public resources for themselves.

Forget the farms issue and focus on strong course offerings at all schools.

As taxpayers you should advocate for more efficient utilization of buildings than what they are proposing which is disgracefully wasteful. Notice they added 500 seats to Wheaton on this round. Did they build 500 seats between the first options and the new options? No, they did not..they will just demand more money later for them.

I literally just want them to utilize the space they spent hundreds of millions on and not leave it 25% empty while other buildings sit over crowded.

Clearly that’s not the goal here. And instead of spreading out kids who may need more, just give the schools more resources to support all kids.

They don’t care about Wheaton or the DCC. The goal isn’t to help the DCC, it’s to cater to those who they feel have the strongest voting power.

You sound like a selfish pig who wants more space for your kids and less space for other kids.

When they need more space in Wheaton the money for that will come out of the MCPS budget. This is why we can't have nice things.

How about this, let BCC and WJ and the W schools have Woodward and leave DCC alone as the DCC gets no benefit from this.

You sound like you are a nasty person. No, I don’t care about space or farms, I care about access to courses. You are a resource hoarder so keep it. This entire plan hurts DCC schools and we may get less overcrowding but we lose resources, staff and classes. Our kids are forced into MC or go without and it’s and issue when you cannot even get enough classes to graduate at your school.

Do you get when they reduce numbers at the DCC, the DCC schools lose funding as that funding moves to Woodward so there will be even less than what we have now. We need the numbers to have more staff to have more offerings.

You don’t get it. Many of our kids go without the classes and clubs they want and need. If numbers are reduced, staffing is reduced and then our kids have access to less not more.

Oh, you're the MVC person. You want Einstein to stay overcrowded so your kid can take MVC at Einstein? That's not an okay way to fight for what your kid needs and it won't help.

Where would they put more space at Wheaton beyond taking it from Edison which is a different school? They will have no money given the new costs and repairs to current schools. The BOE and MCPS are continuing to mismanage the funds. No one will hold them accountable.

There will not be MVC at Einstein regardless of this plan as it’s not a priority for admin but they will have to make cuts with less staff and less staff means less courses. They cannot cut the resource and sped classes, so they cut the advanced and ap classes. They cut the arts and other electives. My kid will go without and take statistics or go to MC. We are not sending our youngest to Einstein and will either lottery, cosa or private. It’s a great school but not great for students who want advanced classes.

How is any of that happen from the change in boundaries? What new school with less offerings have you been rezoned to?
