Pretty clearly the same person posting repeatedly. It comes down to you either vote for the republican candidate who supports an authoritarian, anti-democratic regime or the one who doesn’t. It would be nice if the republicans weren’t so flagrantly hostile to half the country, so we could have the space to be picky about our candidates. |

I know no one celebrating CK’s death. No one I know really mourns his loss, either. There is a difference.
I am against gun violence and I am against political violence. I don’t celebrate what happened to him. I also think he was a pig and not worth my time. I hope the party finds a solution soon, because I personally don’t want to vote for Jones. I think he definitely crossed a line here. I don’t want to do the “well, republicans do this” stuff, even though it is true. I want to be better than that. |
As one of the PPs who will not cast a vote for Jones, I can assure you there are more than one of us. We are also well beyond just the speeding issue, in case you haven’t kept up. |
Nobody wants to talk about the killing cops comments….. |
Correct. You have a choice. You can vote for the candidate who earnestly advocates the assassination of political opponents and the murder of their children, and drives around at reckless speeds that show a criminal indifference to life. OR You can vote for the “fascist”. |
“I don’t want to vote for Jones, but….” You’d crawl over a hundred yards of broken bottles to vote for him. Just be honest. |
He’s deporting Virginians who are here illegally, I guess. |
Not a chance. He’ll stick it out - and win. |
I get that some such posts are written by Republicans trying to convince Democrats they can switch parties or split ballots. On the other hand, some of us are former Democrats who now think of ourselves as independents, at least in state and local elections. Some of us were thinking of voting a straight Democratic ticket in Virginia because we don't like Trump and am tired of Youngkin. Jay Jones has caused us to rethink our plans. I know I won't vote for him now, so the only choice is whether I vote against him or abstain entirely from voting in the AG election. |
I am being honest. I most certainly will not crawl over broken bottles. Having Miyares in that spot is not the outcome I want. I know the consequences of that and I usually do vote straight Dem. But I want a plan to get Jones out of that spot because he clearly does not belong there. I’m very upset that we are in this spot and I am not going to take the party line on this one. I feel blindsided again and I’m mad. Not mad enough to vote for Miyares or just NOT vote, but as a loyal D, I want to know that we are better than this. I know so many local party members who are amazing people. I’m friends with some of the state reps and senators. They were standing behind him strongly as of last month, but I’m sure they feel similar to me right now. I feel like his hubris put us in this spot, thinking none of this would surface somehow? Just incredibly infuriating. |
How can you be taken seriously? Trump is doing his best to destroy the economy of Northern VA. Do you only watch Fox News? |
And you’re the type of voter who gave us Trump. Anyway, you do you. Our household will vote early to cancel you out. |
| Tim Kaine still supports him https://x.com/mkraju/status/1975317883753537620?s=46&t=Rw_jX1uyupQwvEwsjuQulQ |
You're the one who’s not a serious person. You care more about your property value and falling housing prices than about our nation having a secure border. The rest of the country could literally burn down and you wouldn’t care as long as there was a surplus of federal employees pushing paper in DC all vying to get into bidding wars over your home when you decide to sell. |
What?!? You have no idea what government employees do. Really, turn off Fox News. |
