RS has accumulated extensive experience over the years, and I am confident that a thorough audit would uncover numerous discrepancies in the financial records while he was in charge.
Most of the board members have also been on the board for 3+ years (several much longer) so they should be held accountable too but at the end of the day most of them were probably just doing the best they could as volunteers and unless RS was pocketing exorbitant amounts of money I audit is probably a big waste of money too. Problem is the 3 board members have made a lot of accusations about things but haven’t given any evidence or even examples of where there were financial problems or irregularities
Again in our GFR coaches meeting, that the 3 board members called the day after they decided they thought they should run the club said there was NO financial wrongdoing. Multiple coaches said the email implied otherwise and they reiterated it did not mean to imply that. In the same meeting they said they know nothing about soccer, don’t know what EDs or TDs make and that they were going to hire a consultant.
It is clear as day they just wanted RS, NM and ML out and have tried to insinuate wrongdoing without any evidence.
The only one that is benefiting from this is the GFR lawyer!
