Hats off to M&D. They looked good and played with a lot of intensity. Heros and Coppermine had a fantastic game the day before. Spring lacrosse looks like it will be very entertaining. |
Eagle Stix is #1, Coppermine is #2. |
Thanks for this post. Kind of detail that Tourney Machine does not provide. |
With all due respect to M&D, they are going to have to prove it on the field in a normal format to be in the conversation with Coppermine/Hero’s/Eagle Stix. |
Accurate on this comment. Those top 3 teams have separated themselves and M&D is not close in a normal format. NGLL winner comes out of the top 3. |
Agreed but they did look good in the first 75% of yesterday’s Hero’s game (at least better than they did earlier this year). Last 25% was just a game of keep away. |
First, whoever is currently spamming me with reports about Baltimore teams, please stop.
Second I don't understand what the issue with Baltimore area parents posting here. Baltimore is no further away than part of NoVA from which posters normally post. But, if there is an issue, perhaps the Baltimore posters can start their own thread. At any rate, please stop the bickering about it and don't report anymore posts simply because they were about a Baltimore-area team. |
Sincerely embarrassed for whomever was doing this. Let's talk lacrosse. Some better St James matchups ahead with local 2028 clubs playing each other. Stars LB1 returns from Spooky Nook for games against other clubs in the coming weeks, including 3D Maryland, a new team (close to DC!!) that had a strong Fall season; CavLax Elite; and the always exciting match up against Pride Red. Pride Red has Holton Arms this weekend, and then CavLax Elite, and Stars LB1, which should be a de facto championship game for the JV division, assuming Stars LB1 can get past 3D Maryland. Some better games ahead. |
3D Maryland is just the old Renegades 27 and 28 teams. So Frederick area. |
What is the NL 2028 team doing for winter league? |
Looks like they are 4-0 in the 7th/8th grade bracket. |
Think this may have been covered on the previous thread, but do top 20 teams cut existing players as you get closer to high school? Just wondering how realistic it is to expect to make one of these teams at this stage. |
There has been some coverage of this issue on this thread and its predecessor. There is some movement each year at the top clubs, both in the DC area, and in Baltimore. Most of the top clubs have B teams, so it's not a cut as much as a directed move to another team at the same club. As a result new players come in or get moved up from the B team. Vacancies also come up as players move to "greener pastures" for a variety of reasons--reputation, recruiting track record, coaching, personality issues, etc. So, if you have a good player, there are some opportunities. Some of the most elite clubs, such as, allegedly, Hero's, have invite-only try outs at the high school level. So you would have to make a player's interest known at those clubs. Hope this helps. |
Thx. |
