There has been some coverage of this issue on this thread and its predecessor.  There is some movement each year at the top clubs, both in the DC area, and in Baltimore.  Most of the top clubs have B teams, so it's not a cut as much as a directed move to another team at the same club.  As a result new players come in or get moved up from the B team.  Vacancies also come up as players move to "greener pastures" for a variety of reasons--reputation, recruiting track record, coaching, personality issues, etc.  So, if you have a good player, there are some opportunities.

Some of the most elite clubs, such as, allegedly, Hero's, have invite-only try outs at the high school level.  So you would have to make a player's interest known at those clubs.  Hope this helps.  [/quote]
