If the player is not a top 50-100 player in their class, top varsity player and top club player the coach recommendation will not help. The coaches nominate players that fit that skill level and ability. If your kid is not at that level it would be unlikely their coach would recommend as well. BIC is geared towards players landing at the TOP 25 D1 programs. |
Some kids do slide through. |
BIC takes about 180 players. Pretty big difference from the top 50 to the 150-180 group. Clubs that work with BIC or Juniors or HHH, and have a process for making recommendations to these showcases appear to do better with placements. Not surprising. |
I think you’re 180 is a little high. Most of the time there are four teams let’s say maybe six 20 — girls per team is around 120-125 girls. |
Respectfully, I'm counting from the roster. 178 players on 10 teams for the 2028s in June. I don't believe they squeeze it down for the recruiting year. |
2029s had 124 on 6 teams. |
Any thoughts on final rankings today? |
Cap blue has no business being top. Will
Be out of top 30 by start of summer tournaments |

Surprised that YJ isn’t on top. They had a good summer. |
Me too. |
You know who else had a better summer? The teams ranked ahead of YJ. |
By the algorithm, they clearly belong in top 25. They will move up after the Fall. |
Maryland’s dominance is slipping: only three of the top ten teams are from MD. |
Cap blowhard. Let’s revisit and I will owe you a beer or two if I’m wrong. Roster changes didn’t make them any more competitive. Other teams did. |
