I hope you aren’t serious because what you’re saying will further ossify the divisions between red states and blue states. It won’t help. I know we are all frustrated but this kind of talk isn’t fixing anything. |
In 2022 if people want to vote R because of rhetoric of poor economic wellbeing they will need to be strongly and loudly reminded that it's because of what Manchin and the Republicans did to sabotage their economic wellbeing. |
It's funny how the Democrats are *already* anticipating losing the House, even quite badly. That is why they are desperate to pass the bill. But they will lose badly if inflation isn't brought under control, and one of the reasons Manchin refuses to support the bill is that adding another $2T deficit spending has powerful implications for inflation. So perhaps Manchin refusing to support the bill will actually help mitigate the growth of inflation and in turn, mitigate the scale of the Democratic losses. Look - people aren't going to vote against the Democrats for failing to pass this bill. They will vote against the Democrats if they pass this bill. What you want is not what other people want. Too many people forget this. |
It's already too late and the Republicans already do that to "blue" states. The blue states need to start fighting back. |
The bill was deficit neutral. It was the most fiscally responsible piece of legislation since Clinton's budgets. |
Oh people will vote like their lives depend on it. With 1 million dead from Covid by then and inflation at 9% next year, it might not be for the party you want them to vote for though. |
I think part of the issue may also like North-Korea syndrome, where red staters are suffering due to their elected leaders pushing back on funds and programs and thinking that the Democrats' programs were all failures and that the rest of the country is worse off than they are when in fact that's not at all the case. That's the propaganda North Korea uses as well - for as bad as the problems are in North Korea, they tell their people that the rest of the world is even worse off when it isn't. It's been going on for a long time - I recall arguing with red staters about ARRA stimulus programs, they'd say "there were no shovel ready projects" and say there was nothing to show for it (in their red county) while I'd pull up the website and show them dozens of great and much needed projects that were successfully completed around where I live. Or they'd whine about ACA not realizing their own GOP officials sabotaged it where they live but that the plans and programs were much better in blue states. And so they'd project their own shitty situation onto the rest of the country not realizing that it was their own GOP officials who made it shitty for no good reason other than partisan politics. |
At the very least, it was far more fiscally responsible than anything the Republicans have passed in years. But the Republicans just continue to lie shamelessly. |
Inflation is because of the pandemic that Trump let spiral out of control. But somehow that's the Democrats' fault. Most of the dead since Biden got elected have been stupid Trumpster anti-vaxxers. But somehow that's the Democrats' fault. |
My God you are insufferable. Use the Justice system to go after those you disagree with politically. You have done way too much of that already. But, I wouldn't put it past Joe and the puppets pulling his strings. |
And, now, Jamaal Bowman (D - NY) is calling for more pandemic relief funding.
Is there anything that Democrats do besides spending other people's money?

Why wouldn’t they? The media uses their framing all the time; they get away with everything, including sedition. |
