We got an email from the lead coach the first year before the official offer was received. This was in U9 where the final team placements are not set until summer. The following year maybe a message on the app before the offer was sent? Last year just an official offer “from” the coach of the team being offered. Something is definitely different this year. I don’t think they fully know how many teams they will end up having for a lot of age groups, which makes it hard to give specific info other than who the lead coach is and who else will coach for the age group (without always saying who is going to be on which team beyond the first one). This would all be easier for them if leadership didn’t tell them to accept everyone and figure out a team for anyone willing to pay. If they just looked at numbers and said we’re only having two or three teams or whatever, and anyone ranked below that last spot isn’t getting an offer, they could probably give everyone most of the info up front. |

I don't understand why they are so much more disorganized this year compared to other years.

| PE stood outside our house with a boombox and a handwritten note from the "lead coach" extolling the virtues of our child and offering her a spot on the 5th team. The coaches' initials were TBD. Just us? |
As another parent pointed out, I think this is a larger problem across the area. Yes, Valor takes the cake with their wanted ad for coaches DURING tryouts. But there are parents from various clubs posting their clubs are "falling apart", or asking about coaching slates, or asking about whether a 3rd or 4th team will exist, or why offers have not come out. I haven't seen so many posts from the across the region in the previous years about all these problems. |

Just chiming in that we have only received automated offer emails. No phone calls or
Boomboxes

| Maybe with RTO and all the changes with GA/mlsnext one and two etc there is a lot of movement and the clubs were not expecting so much churn on their first teams. |
Does anyone know about 2011 boys? My son was hoping to move up from the white team to gold but I overheard a gold team parent at the first night saying they thought their team was full. They did move up one kid mid season so We were hopeful that it did happen sometimes. Does anyone know why they added another tryout? We were new this year and don't know many people but don't want to return to that team. He does have another option at another club but first choice would be gold team. Have not had any phone calls emails or boomboxes (hahaha) yet. Thx for any info. |

Take the other club offer |
| Not sure how many parents of younger kids post on here, but does anyone have info about the current 2016 boys coaches beyond the first team coach? I think they are coaching 2017 next year and wondering how people liked them. |
I heard one parent mention they liked CG, the assigned first team coach. No clue on AM or VV --they were both brand new coaches this year I think--or whoever they are hiring for the 4th and 5th teams. (Likely to be either brand new never coached before or parents) |
2011 parent here, gold team is full. Sorry
|
| Thanks for the info. |
Didn’t realize parents made that decision unless coach informed the parents of that decisions. I would think any coach would take new player if it improves the team. |

Assuming a current parent can count how many kids are returning or being moved down for a soft landing from the first team.... the kids all know who is doing what. If returnees + move downs = 18+, no room for any third team kids to move up no matter how good they are. Valor Math.
