Even on a laptop the document shown when BB is being perp walked is completely illegible to me. Thanks for details PP. Horrific crimes, and so completely pointless. So very sad.

But, it would appear that this call was too soon for this defendant, given what he knew he still had to do, and that call was terminated after just 8 seconds without explanation. We know Peres Magathes was in that room when she made the call, and we know much of what had happened simply by listening to that call. The sound you will hear in the background is a wounded Joe Ryan, still alive and moaning in agony and despair

Within seconds, 911 operators called back to Peres Magalhaes' phone but for some unknown reason got no answer from the co-defendant. Fully 15 minutes would pass before the co-defendant made her second call. The analysis of the Forensic team of experts in this case explains what happened in that 15-minute timeframe. The Commonwealth's evidence will show that both Christine's and Joe Ryan's body were moved and repositioned in the room. Ryan's knapsack was repacked with the items he had brought to the house except that the knife was not. Instead, it was positioned on the floor a few feet from his and Christine's body. His arms were intentionally positioned across his body as if in a funeral pose and then smeared with Christine's blood. This finding. specifically, is confirmed by the actual smearing pattern present and the location of a second gunshot wound, which entered Ryan's chest in a downward angle from 7-8 feet away and was found only after paramedics lifted his left arm to reveal that bullet's entry wound. That shot was delivered by the co-defendant during that 15-minute gap and killed Joe Ryan, immediately, exploding and ….. his heart. We know this because she confessed to detectives later that day that the defendant instructed her to go to a safe in closet, retrieve the second 9mm handgun, the same one that he had….. month before, and return to the bedroom and shoot Ryan as he had every reason to discuss circumstances which supposedly brought him face to face with a home intruder who was in the process of killing his wife, Instead made only minimal statements at the scene save but a few off-the-cuff comments which were telling in and of themselves. In one, he claimed to first responders that the 15-minute gap between 911….."

Peres Megalhaes told detectives he parked his car in the driveway and entered the home carrying with him a bag. According to cell phone records and Peres Mogalhaes statements to detectives, she was supposedly fearful and uncertain so she called Christine's cellphone, but it went to voicemail. She then called the defendant’s phone and spoke with him. The defendant called his wife's phone, as well. But someone knew there would be no answer because Christine’s phone was not where one would expect, at her side as she slept, perhaps on the nightstand, but, instead, it had been turned off and strangely placed in a drawer just of the living room on the first floor of the house, where detectives would discover it later that morning. Ring camera footage shows the defendant returned to the house at 7:37. Upon his arrival. he, his co-defendant, and his daughter approached the house but, as his co-defendant explained to detectives, instead of entering through the front door, the defendant took them to the side of the house, through the gate of the fenced yard and around the back where they then made entry into the basement. The defendant and co-defendant gave the child her iPad and instructions to stay there. They secured her there as they locked o child's gate behind them as they then ascended the stairs to the first and then the second floor.
