So you spend your time on pro-Baldoni reddit sites even though you support Blake, including reading all the comments. And you are trying to argue Baldoni supports are strangely obsessive. I mean, wake up and smell the coffee sister. I don't spend any time on reddit. I can assure you that yes, that's how social media algorithms work, if you show interest in a topic, they will show you more. |
I'm referring to ItEndsWithLawsuits which occasionally has some interesting content form the actual docket. |
+1 |
+2, I am especially bothered by the stalking and brigading against other people. Attacking Jenny Slate or Colleen Hoover because their testimony supported Lively's narrative. It's so weird and sick. I literally never post on celebrity social media, so looking up social media accounts so you can hurl vitriol in "defense" of some other celebrity is so bizarre to me. |
"Implicitly encourage". You all are insane, and if you spend your time on multiple Baldoni/Lively chat boards, the obsessive ones. Obviously the vast majority of people on social media that like or comment don't live on reddit message boards. |
DP and regular reddit user. While yes, Reddit will show you content related to posts you've clicked on before, they also boost content that is more popular with more comments and likes. Thus upvoting and commenting on certain posts with low effort comments is a way to boost content on people's feeds. The Lively/Baldoni saga has been through many iterations on reddit but you can often tell when there is organized effort happening because suddenly your feed will be flooded with a bunch of content that is often just the same topic over and over, posts just referencing other posts, etc. I already subscribe to all the major Lively/Baldoni subs so this isn't about Reddit promoting these topics because of my interest -- I know I'm going to get info about the case in my feed because I've set it up that way. But what info I get, and the frequency of posts, can be heavily influenced by upvoting and commenting behavior. Sometimes it makes sense (there are always more posts, and more popular posts, after a major case development). But when the posts I'm seeing are repetitive and low effort, I do sense manipulative tactics at play. |
How would you have the time given your devotion to the chat boards? Much better to stake your place out here and throw around misogyny, manosphere and the like. |
You sound literally insane. It's not normal to be so obsessive. |
DP. I started following ItEndsWithLawsuits because it seemed like the only place where active discussion and debate was happening about the case. But it devolved aggressively over the last year and now it's just a pro-Baldoni, Blake-hate-fest with very little accurate legal info and a lot of weird rumor mongering. There is also a symbiotic relationship between some of the top content creators from TikTok and YouTube, where the sub promotes their content and then people on the sub become devoted to it and clamor for more. But it encourages group think and remaining in a very specific bubble because the sub will only promote CCs who tell them what they want to hear. |
I genuinely don't know what you are referring to. Where is there misogyny in my comment? |
| I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but still a bit shocked the Blake supporters here are outing themselves as obsessive fan girls who live online. |
Case in point would be "the dailies!!!!111" from the other day. |
| Reddit does have some gems such as Ryan liking a negative post about Lively. Someone has been busy trolling through the negative content. So much winning and unbotherdness. |
Because the judge already indicated he’s not inclined to grant it. Gottlieb asked about it at the last hearing and the judge was skeptical and said the case was not dismissed on the basis of 47.1. I read it as a face saving concession to Blake for dismissing her claims with prejudice and with no money exchanging hands. So now she can say she’s still fighting the good fight. But actually she’s only dragging this out until another bad PR day when the judge denies it. |
Wait, what? That doesn't make sense. Like neither the question Gottlieb asked (did he really ask that? is there a transcript of the hearing?) nor Liman's response. But I would guess we'll know sooner rather than later whether the 47.1 motion succeeds and what damages are. With the settlement and cancellation of the trial, this frees up Liman's time and gives him an incentive for issuing this final decision and ending a big part of the circus in his court (the case between Abel and Jones will continue so it's not totally over but that case gets a lot less scrutiny and media attention because while it's celebrity-adjacent, the main parties are not celebs. |
