US Capitol Breached by Trump's lunatics

Roberts for 6-3 court: "The Government’s theory would also criminalize a broad swath of prosaic conduct, exposing activists and lobbyist to decades in prison. Our usual approach in obstruction cases has been to “resist reading” particular sub-provisions “to create a coverall statute.” Yates, 574 U. S., at 549 (plurality opinion). Nothing in the text or statutory history gives the Court a reason to depart from that practice today. And the Government’s interpretation would give prosecutors broad discretion to seek a 20-year maximum sentence for acts Congress saw fit to punish with far shorter sentences. By reading (c)(2) in light of (c)(1), the Court affords proper respect to “the prerogatives of Congress” in carrying out the quintessentially legislative act of defining crimes and setting the penalties for them. United States v. Aguilar, 515 U. S. 593, 600. 64 F. 4th 329, vacated and remanded."

J6 was fine fine.

Nothing to see here. 🔥🔥🔥

If J6 were as bad as claimed, they would have released all the video. They wouldn't have had to lie about the deaths from J6. They would have not covered up the murder of the protestor. The Dems feared sunshine because they were lying, including with the planted pipe bomb.

"Release the video" WTF are you talking about it. We all watched it in real time with our own eyes.

You don't even know because you only believe what the MSM tells you. There are thousands of hours of video that were not released, especially as part of the Star Chamber presentation put on by Dems.

You only know what the tv tells you. Must be a Boomer.

I'm old enough to remember when all the footage was released - to Tucker Carlson. So anything he'd want you to see, you've seen.

It has been clear from the start that DOJ and prosecutors fabricated an interpretation of an unrelated law to convert non-violent Jan. 6 protesters into felons. Few judges had the courage to rule against Jan 6 prosecutors.

The Supreme Court - with Jackson joining conservatives -- just did.

This is so strange - prosecutors have not sought the max sentence for these charges. Roberts is swinging at windmills here.

Anonymous wrote:There is a federal law against rioting with pretty hard penalties. I guess Garland thinks that is a bridge too for tourists who got lost?

No, Garland doesn't believe in that law because he doesn't prosecute leftists for rioting. He's only interested in punishing his political enemies. Also, the same people who say Trump isn't qualified because he was impeached never apply that standard to Garland. Hypocritical liars.

What rioting by leftists has taken place on federal property since Garland became the AG?

The video that hasn't been released would dislose US capitol security measures and compromise the security of House and Senate members and their staffs.

As a PP said, we watched the events of 1/6 unfold in real time with our own eyes.

Non-violent

They had no business being in the US Capitol that day to begin with.

And that they showed up with flags as spears, zip ties, bear spray and some with guns, is not just the action of "tourists"

He had quite the last day - two landmark SC rulings and Biden's debate performance.
