Valor

So it looks like Arlington posted their 10,999 coaches yesterday.

Still nothing from Valor and their tryouts seem to be over.

Shame on Valor.

But also remember, there are parents here who were swearing other clubs didn’t have this problem.

Other parents have been open with us - just ask at the game when kids aren't around. The (outgoing) coach has too and will give you numbers if you ask him about it. He probably is out of the loop going forward, but I didn't see a path to a 3rd team existing as of last week.

I appreciate the insight. I guess we'll start exploring other options after talking to a few parents today at our game. We've enjoyed our time at Valor but it looks like not many are left from our team for next year. our daughter loves playing soccer and I'm sad the team most likely won't be an option for next year.

Its really sad they aren't honest with parents about the number of teams and coaches.

Depending on where u live in the Valor zone, Burke, Herndon or VSA could be options. Reach out to them, tell them
Valor is unexpectedly cutting her team and see if your daughter can attend a practice.

Good luck. Everyone that wants to play hopefully can find a club that suits them. Is it standard to send out offers for a team with not enough players?

Yes, Valor does it. They then try to recruit out of their rec leagues to fill the slots, once a team is at minimum they will look for a coach sometime in Aug.

They do not tell the families who try out and are placed on Half A Team any of this, they pretend like its a regular team.

The 2014 girls tryout/acceptances for the first two teams must have been really low for them to not try for a third team.

Asking again, has anyone heard back on 2015 boys below the first team? None of my son's friends have heard anything and tryouts ended last Wednesday!

+1
VYS is also fairly close by if you’re in the eastern edge of Valor zone. Don’t know which age you’re looking for, but they still have tryouts happening now for many ages. Only thing, their discussion thread is also full of “has anyone gotten offers yet” questions. So, maybe prudent to ask them questions before taking your kids there.

I have a girl but ran into a friend last night and her 2015 kid (third team but hoped to
move up) had heard nothing. She said she had emailed to ask about the coaches for the teams and no one replied. She was not happy obviously.

Bethesda and gfr falling apart. This thread is about valor going downhill? Surprised?

This thread is giving me a headache. 🤣 1/2 are talking about Valor in Virginia and 1/2 are talking about Valor in MV Washington . So confused

The entire thread is about Valor soccer in Virginia. Literally no one has even mentioned any other Valor except you. Get off the sauce.

Are all these idiots from that "talking soccer"
site?

Yes just ignore.

Another Monday morning without any Valor coaching slate for next year...
Tryouts are over!

My son was hoping to move up to the 2011 gold team from white. We don't know any families on that team well enough ask, so strangers: has anyone been sent an invite yet for the 2nd team?
