So we now learn that Alex Cannon, a Trump lawyer, advised his client to return the 24 MAL boxes to NARA “as is” do the professional archivists could sort out the mess. Trump instead searched the boxes himself and told the lawyer to make the representation that everything had been returned. The lawyer wisely declined to do so.
We also know that the MAL boxes include materials that post-date 1/20/2021, which is evidence that their contents were handled subsequent to his leaving office. Making the crime-fraud exception great again. |
Trump had a lawyer named Alex Cannon -- no relation to Judge Aileen Cannon, though? |
Lawyer - Alex Cannon Judge - Aileen Cannon Trump - Loose Cannon I'm seeing the connection here. ![]() |
Don’t forget Qannon. |
Why are people so surprised at what Trump is capable of.
He treats everything as a negotiation deal. "I'll give you what I owe you, if you give me something that isn't mine to begin with but that I think it should be mine." Isn't this basically blackmail? " excuse me.. this is a negotiation, and I'm the king negotiator". Interesting that his lawyers wouldn't do what he wanted because they realized that it was illegal, but those who did do what he wanted now need legal counsel themselves. Everyone who comes near him ends up need a lawyer, even lawyers themselves. What does that say about Trump? Stupid cult members. https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-deflected-demands-documents-enmeshing-150841875.html |
And Bannon |
I don’t think anyone is so surprised at what Trump is willing to do; I think some are surprised at how nakedly partisan ostensibly non-partisan judges are and how much the GOP does to protect Trump while pretending that Trump is a Democratically-created problem instead of him being a monster of their own creation. |
The problem is that the partisan judges and self-interested politicians help continue to normalize Trump for GOP voters. When you have a fragile, impressionable voter base, it's morally wrong to continue equivocating and obfuscating for more ratings and more funding. |
I'd like to think the SCOTUS will stick to the law, but this court has pushed the court into political activism. I don't know how the court will rule. Thomas, et al are horrible partisans, not worthy of the SCOTUS.
Their rulings debase the honor of the court. |
