Which means he'll probably double down and go for broke. Going to be a crazy week!

At this point, an investigation into the allegations should land him in jail, not just broke. That's why he's stupid.

Why won't Ford's best friends go under oath to support her?

Who are you talking about? Russell Ford?

In light of the 6:15 AM email from Mr. Avanetti, I am not sure how this can proceed, but if it does, it simply won't end well for anyone involved.

And FWIW, I am not sure he has the "FFFF" in Fourth of July meaning right. I believe it more accurately refers to the number of males involved in the train.

Or he should have said, "In my student days I drank too much on occasion and sometimes was boorish with women. Although I have no memory of the particular allegations [or don't remember them the same way], it is clear that these women have carried a terrible burden, and I am profoundly sorry. I am a different man today, and a father with daughters. "

Then he could survive it.

Yep I completely agree. This would have been a perfect statement. My guess is he is too arrogant to admit any shortcomings and has gotten away with lies his whole life. His wife made some strange faces when he was nominated so I do wonder if she was worried some of this was coming.

Because she didn't tell anyone at the time so they can't really. I understand - I went through something similar and didn't tell my best friend or anyone else. It was embarrassing and humiliating and I didn't want to talk about it.

Monday September 24th.

In your opinion, will:

A. Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed?

B. Brett Kavanaugh not be confirmed?

I pick A.

It is too late. The GOP is either going to plow this through (I am not sure how Colling or Murkowski could support it) or implode trying.

As she said, she did not tell anyone about it. The friend(s) that were at the small party were likely not aware of what happened and thus that party does not stand out in their memory. I went to many parties in high school, I remember the specific details of very few. Her friends do uniformly say they believe her.

The people that appear to have heard about it likely received their info from the guys involved.

KAC stated on morning news shows that she is outraged that decades old behavior are being asked to be carried on the shoulders of one man (I’m paraphrasing). I find it so ironic that Bill Cosby is being sentenced today. Smdh!

There is only one way to keep something private. Not tell anyone.

If it happened in the common room of the dorm, it doesn't matter who you tell or don't tell.
