Harris down in recent NYT national poll
Harris 47% Trump 48% Seems like post convention bump is gone and she is losing support. Maybe do an interview or press conference so people actually get to see her and ask her questions. Hard core Dems will vote for her no matter what. It’s the Independents she is bleeding. |

Here is the NTY poll. It was just released. |
It’s all true. Republicans are bad, all of them. America should only have one political party, the democratic party. |
It is great that there are GOP leaders and voters who are supporting Harris. But the democrats win when their base votes. If someone is troubled by the idea that Trump is being called out for the racism, and that Trump is, in fact, a racist, and the racists support Trump; then one should either distance themselves from Trump or else be associated with him and not be upset about it. |
Bush and Trump are Hitlers and republicans are all Nazis. America should have only one political party: the Democratic party. America would be a great place if we only had democrats in charge of our government, local, state, and federal. |
Nate works for Peter Thiel now, and the site he supports is a betting site, not a polling site, so citing him at this juncture is totally useless. |
Nope, he is not running 538 anymore and is not involved with polling but rather betting. Different metrics. |
Are democrats suggesting rounding up people and deporting them? Are democrats suggesting imprisoning "political opponents" because they are political opponents? Trump has done both in the last day. It is, in fact, divisive. |
She ran an ad on national football today. |
An ad or even rally are not enough. Those you are just repeating trout stump speeches that are pre-planned. People actually want to ask her some real question and hear her honest response. Her and Walz avoiding voters is turning people off. Even reporters in Lancaster were told not to ask any questions. |
Well to be fair, a majority of Americans support deporting ALL illegal aliens. Even 38% of Democrats. So he is actually with 60% of the voters. If you don’t support deporting them, then you are in the minority. https://abc3340.com/amp/news/nation-world/most-voters-support-deporting-all-illegal-immigrants-poll-finds-cbs-news-yougov-survey-immigration-migrants-asylum-seekers-southern-border-joe-biden-donald-trump-2024-election |
Poll says 62% support Trump’s plan to deport illegals. That’s approaching 2/3 of the voters.

Maybe. If the NYT poll questions are like their reporting is these days, the poll may not capture reality among independents. I’m an independent. I was very pleased when Biden dropped out and was impressed (and surprised) by Harris in the first weeks. Here is the nuance: I’m less excited right now because she doesn’t pleasantly surprise me. She’s a solid candidate and will be a smart, tough commander in chief. She has my vote but I’m not breathlessly following her. I don’t want to breathlessly follow any candidate or president. I want them to do the job efficiently and effectively without drama. Trump is old and crazy. Actually demented. And boring. I want him to proceed to the 19th hole now. I would have been more interested in the GOP had Haley been the nominee. |
