| I’d prefer they just fine them half a billion dollars or whatever and set up scholarship funds for deserving applicants. Seeing Aunt Becky in an orange jumpsuit does nothing for me. |
| As a side note, as a parent of a crew kid who works their butt off, it annoys me that they did a photo op on an erg machine. Crew is really difficult and labor intensive. Student athletes make a lot of sacrifices. The entitlement is breathtaking. These parents haven’t learned anything. |
' Yeah, maybe it would be better to fine them like 20 times the amount they spent and put it into a fund to help lower income students get into college. So Huffman and Macy paying $15K would be fined $300K. Loughlin and Gianulli would be fined $10M (for paying $500K). Or maybe more. Something that hurts a lot financially and helps out a lot of under-privileged kids get into college would be appropriate penalty. Probably hurt more and help more than jail time. |
Great idea |
| Sometimes the government, no matter how sure they are of their legal case and no matter how despicable the people charged, end up losing the case. |
| Jailing all of them is a waste of time and money. Just prosecute them. Enough with the games and give them a huge fine and community services. They are spending more time/money/effort going after them to get them to agree to a conviction then it would be to try them. |
Yep, their money could be put to good use. Jailing them will cost $$$$. |
Np. I want her to get jail time. Not only did they willingly and knowingly break the law, they show no shame or remorse. A fine would do nothing. It would only prove that the rich can but themselves out of trouble. |
Yes, this! They are so entitled the only thing that would impact them is jail time. |
|
I just wish we werent going to spend SO much money on the trial and prosecuting them and then jailing them - they are so entitled - plead guilty and move on!
|
Those are spray on abs. Don’t be a dolt. |
|
They were trying to use their wealth to buy their unqualified kids admission into college. They can't just buy their way out of trouble now. If the prosecutor didn't go for jail time then the richest people would just pay their fine and be more careful not to get caught the next time.
People with lots of money to throw around won't miss a few hundred thousand. They would hate to go to jail, though. Just ask Martha Stewart. |
| The lady is hot though. I’ll bet no prison time. They don’t want her to get messed up in there. |
Felicity has a much better career and is hotter, still in prison. Lori gives a more sweetheart vibe hence her previous reign over the Hallmark channel. |
| Whoa. There are pictures of her in her prison uniform. No makeup, no hair styling....yikes. |
