NVA took the best players from multiple age groups from GFR. To be fair, there was nothing stopping those players from trying out at NVA on their own but the "partnership" just accelerated those departures from GFR. Never understood why they agreed to be a part of that in the first place (especially since it's not like being a part of Loudoun, Valor or GFR was the only way to get to NVA).

Can anyone tell me where the 2012 Girls A team plays? I was looking on the NCSL site and only see one team listed, which I’m assuming is their B team.

ECNL-RL? Is that what you are asking?
The 2012 GFRC went 4-1-1 so far this year and are 3rd in the table behind Loudoun and Vienna (I think?)

Yes thank you! I’m new to travel soccer in general so didn’t realize they had an ECNL team.

They don't, they have an ecnl RL team.

If you're new to travel soccer, you should forget you ever saw this board. It is a wildly negative place and you'll think everyone is miserable and every club is terrible, which is simply not the case but the most negative people in NOVA seem to be here. Read for fun, not advice. Talk to your friends and neighbors, the parents on teams you are considering, and your child.

I’m curious to what GFR’s play here is if they even have one. I get just be a solid local club, but then why even bother with the NVA alliance? GFR is certainly more solid than some of the other teams part of the new FVU alliance. Wonder what happened there. And as to the lawsuit? I think people are just curious?

Don’t care about the lawsuit but I am curious to next step plans as a club since they aren’t part of any alliance. Are they going GA Aspire or staying in RL?
