Just wondering if the Pakistani stepmother brought charges against Awan because she is anti-Islamic?

As I said, the statement has not been contradicted. Do you have evidence that the lawyer is lying?

"If not for double standards, the Democrats would have no standards at all" - Chris Plante

Please clarify what standard you use? On which standard do you base the allegation that Awan was "fleeing"? As far as I know, Chris Plante is not involved in this discussion. But since you are, let's hear about your standards.

Arrested at Dulles Airport. $12,400 in cash. Wife Alvi in Pakistan and $165,000 already wired to Pakistan (that 165K was for "funeral arrangements"). Their kids abruptly taken out of school.

Why did they confiscate his passport ?

All perfectly normal occurrences ahead of a fun family vacation.

"According to court documents, federal prosecutors, and former CIA case officer Philip Giraldi, the Awans owed $100,000 to an international fugitive linked to Hezbollah."

This caught my eye on one of the links shared on this forum.

Given that I'm being berated about sources, do you have a link to your source for this?

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz points the finger at everyone but herself to explain away an FBI investigation into the quagmire of malfeasance in her political office. For those on the left with their heads buried in the sand, this is playing the victim card which was used time and time again during 44's term.

“This was not my laptop. I have never seen that laptop. I don’t know what’s on the laptop,” she said Thursday. She said it was Imran’s laptop but purchased using taxpayer funds from her office.

Jeff, I'm still waiting for the DOJ prosecutor link granting vacation for Awan rather than the "government" wordsmithing (i.e. DWS) by his attorney who has close ties to the Clinton's

1. Court Documents
2. Federal Prosecutors
3. Philip Giraldi, Former CIA Case Officer

As I had mentioned, I had noticed this on a link shared somewhere on this forum.

Anonymous wrote:Jeff, my standard are the facts and here are two which are outright lies by Awan's attorney in his statement:

"Mr. Awan’s family is presently staying with extended family in Pakistan because he and his wife were both abruptly and unjustly fired, leaving them without a reliable source of income to pay typical U.S. living expenses,

Awan was fired "after" he was arrested. I omitted the harassment quotes, but you get the gist of it.

The government had been informed he would travel and had stated no objection.

You said the DOJ prosecutor was notified, yet the "Government" includes DWS. Show me a link where the DOJ prosecutor not objecting to his vacation? You can't and that's Fake News

Here is my source about the DOJ:

https://www.buzzfeed.com/amberjamieson/imran-awan-arrest

Awan had previously alerted his employer and Michael Morando, a US Department of Justice attorney who is the prosecutor of the original procurement investigation, of his plans to travel to Pakistan and visit his wife and children, Gowen said.

If the DOJ objected, there is no evidence that they did so.

Awan's family left after his wife was fired. Awan worked for several members of Congress. All but DWS fired him. Neither of those statements are lies.

If your standard is "facts", then please stick to them.

Meanwhile watch her grilling of the Capitol Hill Police Chief on a "members" laptop...

Just added more butter to my popcorn and its tasty.

You are welcome to offer that advice to the lawyer. As for me, I will not avoid reacting to the anti-Muslim bias that I see here.

Let me tell you something, pal. Muslims are no less answerable to the law than anyone else in this country, regardless of your interest in holding them on some pedestal as above everyone else.

Just asking for a single standard. The fact that Awan is Muslim is irrelevant to his alleged crimes. Anyone who uses his religion as a reason to suspect his guilt is a bigot.
