Jeff, my standard are the facts and here are two which are outright lies by Awan's attorney in his statement: "Mr. Awan’s family is presently staying with extended family in Pakistan because he and his wife were both abruptly and unjustly fired, leaving them without a reliable source of income to pay typical U.S. living expenses, Awan was fired "after" he was arrested. I omitted the harassment quotes, but you get the gist of it. The government had been informed he would travel and had stated no objection. You said the DOJ prosecutor was notified, yet the "Government" includes DWS. Show me a link where the DOJ prosecutor not objecting to his vacation? You can't and that's Fake News
Here is my source about the DOJ: https://www.buzzfeed.com/amberjamieson/imran-awan-arrest
Awan had previously alerted his employer and Michael Morando, a US Department of Justice attorney who is the prosecutor of the original procurement investigation, of his plans to travel to Pakistan and visit his wife and children, Gowen said.
If the DOJ objected, there is no evidence that they did so. Awan's family left after his wife was fired. Awan worked for several members of Congress. All but DWS fired him. Neither of those statements are lies. If your standard is "facts", then please stick to them.
