Malia Obama is going to Harvard. I can't help but wonder though, where was this outrage when Chelsea Clinton went to Stanford (at least she chose nice weather) or little Barb Bush went to Yale, ugh. I've spent a lot of the last 8 years wondering "Where was this outrage when..." I've had enough of sarcastic statements about how "interesting" it is that Malia got into Harvard, and how there must be so many better candidates who did not. Actually, It's not that interesting. She's a child of privilege, she's graduating from an elite Quaker school and going to Harvard. If you want to argue about how unfair it is that priviliged children have disproportionate access to elite education, THAT'S interesting. In fact I'd be happy to connect you with an expert on the topic Shani Evans PhD. I'm the son of a physician and an educator who went to an elite Quaker school so it's no surprise I ended up at an Ivy League school. I worked my ass off, but I didn't work my way up from the bottom or anywhere near there, I didn't 'pull myself up by' anything. The truth is neither did most of the other ~2000 people admitted to Princeton in 1994 or to Harvard this year. But I don't see you clamoring to see all of their SATs and grades. When you say it's "interesting" that Malia grades aren't public it suggests that you think they must be inferior. Why would you think that? Anyway, I just thought maybe you don't realize that when you say stuff like that and your other closet racist friends +1. People see you. And even white reasonable people see you too. Folks see what you are saying loud and clear. You sound racist.
NP. You, um, spelled privileged incorrectly.
