Use to call them crashhawks when they first came out. It is crazy for one to run in to a plane.

Hegseth is AWOL.

Seems to think a tweet is the extent of his involvement.

What in the world would make you think that Hegseth is AWOL simply because he isn’t personally emailing you or live-tweeting updates?
This is all so sad.

A military helicopter just flew into a civilian aircraft and killed dozens. This is a major catastrophe.

If he were taking action, his team would be advising the public exactly what actions DoD and the Army are taking. Not acting like oh we can figure this out tomorrow.

They obviously needed more training.

Wonder why they would do a training flight at night in very restricted air space by a very busy airport? Watching channels 4 they shows the helicopter traveling from east to west over the river towards National. If the helicopters continued its course would have taken it over the runways at National.

THIS

Training doesn’t mean pilot training

Yup.

Trump is such an idiot!!! Indiscriminately telling ALL Federal employees they can quit. Even when we have a shortage and their jobs are a matter of life and death. Fox employees cannot take everyone’s place 🙄

What does it mean then?

Bowser is on site as is the CEO of American Airlines.

I have read that some developmental figure skaters were on the flight coming back from the national championships. Their coaches etc.

This is so very very tragic.

American Airlines CEO says he's heading to DC
From CNN's Alexandra Skores
American Airlines CEO Robert Isom says he will be heading to Washington, DC, to assess the midair plane collision and support employees.

So where is our new SecDef?

Oh no.
Obviously a tragedy regardless of who. But the details are what will break our hearts.

You hope an experienced pilot would have stayed under 200 feet as per regulations and his/her flight path was take them over the main runway. The main runway has planes taking off and landing every 2-3 minutes. Not where you want to be in a helicopter at night with lots of lights.

This flight was add last about a year ago. When Congress increased flights again against recommendations by the “experts”. Oh well!

The military helicopter was the issue here, people.

A lot of rich people in DC that live near the Potomac would live to get rid of DCA, but obviously you're right. Helicopters shouldn't be flying so close to the DCA approach.

Maybe they needed some damn training on how an urban airport with flights landing every 20 seconds operates.

They were less than 200 meters from the damn runway and flying low during prime flight times.
