This will erase all the cost savings and then some if the helicopter is found at fault. The military will have to compensate the families of the victims and American Airlines for the crash. Back in 2001, the Navy had to pay $25 million when their submarine was at fault for surfacing under a Japanese fishing boat and destroying the boat and killing all 9 people. This will be way more expensive than that.

Wouldn’t the NTSB be leading the investigation?

DoD always investigates when a service members dies in the line of duty.

Not to mention, the military has had lots of training deaths and helicopter crashes.

The NTSB takes the lead in deterring what caused the crash.

And where was the helicopter going? They don’t just stuck a newbie in a Bkack Hawk helicopter.

And fly over an urban city’s busy airport at night for the sexy views.

Hegseth is AWOL.

Seems to think a tweet is the extent of his involvement.

Well it wasn’t lockheeds NextGen GPS software that lands all jets coming in an out of USA airports.

That jet is there same time same altitude every night it flies its route.

This is sickening.

This was his first tweet.

“DoD actively monitoring. Poised to assist if needed. Prayers for all involved.”

Poised to assist? Um, the military caused this crisis, so yeah assistance would be nice. Probably can’t drive safely to the site.

What in the world would make you think that Hegseth is AWOL simply because he isn’t personally emailing you or live-tweeting updates?
This is all so sad.
