Trump campaign death spiral

The press isn’t interested in Donald Trump’s dementia so they’re not covering it.

The media is clearly not doing its job on Trump’s cognitive decline. All the same they may be misjudging how tired America is of him. He might not be the clickbait he was during his first term. And when he rolls out project 2025, there won’t be a free press. Even Maggie Haberman’s sycophancy won’t save the NYT.

I mean, it's true if he loses this year he's free to run again in '28. Of course, given his behavior now, one can only imagine how manifestly unfit he'll be in four years. But then, I thought he'd be dead of a coronary or a stroke by now, so...

Interested to see how the GOP might stop him from running in 2028 if he loses.

Campaigning for POTUS every 4 years until he croaks = hawking merch, fundraising, TV appearances, and GOP sleazebags flying down the Mar-a-lago to kiss the ring for endorsements. He doesn't want the job of POTUS, he just wants to posture and hoard the money and attention campaigning brings. He's a kingmaker.

Think that ship has sailed. They had a couple of chances and they stuck with him and now they are stuck forever.

They won't.

At some point, there will be a significant party split. But until that happens, the GOP is stuck with him.

They have to play nice because Trump endorsements can win pretty much any backwater primary -- and often, generals. Vance is a senator and DeSantis is a governor because of Trump endorsements, to name two.

Even after a November 2024 loss, Trump knows he will have the LEVERAGE to be a kingmaker moving forward. And if he is still kicking in 2028, he will posture like he's going to run to exploit the leverage he has. Even if his grip slips, he's locked into a majority chunk of the GOP base. He can absolutely win the primary again in 2028.

Made his points?

That he is delusional and bordering on insane?

I think that was clear in the first 15 minutes.

And lose the election again in 2028. 😂

To be fair, they didn't say which direction the momentum was in.
