PA has elected a public official who berates the public.

DP. I'm not very impressed by Fetterman and his inability to wear pants - but I thought he did a good job here. Stated his position and shooed the protestor away. Saved her from wasting her time and possibly getting agitated for no purpose.

Fetterman … ah, where to begin?

Well, first, he’s a corrupt government representative who doesn’t even try to hide the fact that he is bought. I think it’s inevitable at this point that this goon will end up being the subject of multiple scandals down the road. Sexually assaulting staff, using recreational drugs in illicit locations of federal property, rampant domestic abuse, that sort of thing. The political graft and AIPAC corruption will have the rest of us looking back, like, “WTF! How did anyone not see this coming with this scumbag?!”

Second, he tells a constituent that he’s not her representative because SHE doesn’t support HIS corrupted views. He has it backwards, of course. He should be removed from office just for that one exchange, really.

Third, people like those people surrounding that corrupt stooge in that video give me so much hope that there are sane, reasonable people out there. Maybe sanity will prevail one day.

Perhaps you should look up “representative” and learn a little bit about democracy?

You can be forgiven, I suppose, for having absolutely no idea how democracy works seeing as how you support a pariah state that insists it is a democracy despite all signs to the contrary. You just don’t know because you think democracy is what happening in Israel, instead of the apartheid, religious nut theocracy that’s actually happening there.

Oh please. Neither Fetter man nor that student have anything to do with US foreign policy, the actions of another nation, or the endowments of a university. Elected officials can have opinions about current events, just like anyone else. SMH

You're inventing things to slander him with? It's not surprising he wouldn't want to listen to this protester if she is anything like you. You're doing nothing but rally posters against you. You're such a remarkably ineffective, insufferable poster.

However, the overarching sentiment is I think right. What the US govt doing is helping to fund and support innocents being killed over an act that happened months ago. Yes that act was wrong and mortifyingly horrible but the current actions have no justification either. You can kill the bad guys but if you're killing the good guys at the same time ON PURPOSE, you know, in the movies that means we're not rooting for you anymore!

I think what the students are doing is what all students on college campuses do - taking a stand for what they believe in - however that looks to be wrong or right. To those who talk about the differences between Vietnam protests and this - I totally disagree. Many back then were angry about those protests - they said that to go against our troops when we were already committed was wrong. In hindsight, the war probably wasn't the best thing to engage in. We are questioning now a war that the US is involved in - by proxy - we are fighting not with troops but with our money. That is really the same concept. We are involving ourselves in a manner posing a moral dilemma.

This is going to be an issue for some time I feel. Israel isn't going to quit what they are doing. We're going to continue to debate how we feel about it. As long as Biden remain in office as he's not going to draw that line clearly - he's too political.

I agree with this post.

As for your "representative" and "democracy" comment......
I lived in Virginia for years and my Congressional representative did NOT represent my values.

Can you please get a new shtick - this BS is so tired and boring.

Horrible footage coming out of UCLA yesterday of pro Israel counter protestors caught on video saying vile things. One called a Black person the N word and another woman was wishing rape on people and also saying very Islamophobic and racist stuff.

I haven't seen anyone say that.
What I have seen is examples of antisemitic rhetoric being said and seen at these protests.

You have to admit that not every protest against Israel is peaceful and lawful. And, that many of them are antisemitic.
More importantly, some of these protests praise the terrorists and the countries that harbor them.

BS. Most of these protests have prominent Jewish groups in them! They are also peaceful until the cops show up and start brutalizing the protestors.

"Most" is a strong word in that sentence.

Most is correct. Most of these protests involve groups such as Jewish voice for peace, rabbis for ceasefire, Jews for ceasefire, and more. I don’t know any major protest of encampment that did not include at least one of these groups.

You feel that way because you are a racist supporter of a pariah state that commits war crime atrocities daily.

I forgive you.

But history and karma won’t be so kind.

LOL, the Free Beacon. The Free Beacon could care less about anything but Bibi remaining in power. There are tons of folks out there recognizing the horrors of October 7 and the tragedies of the war in Gaza. Perhaps platform them, then a paper dedicated to boosting RW mis/disinfo.

Perhaps there is hope that these protesters will get an education.......
