Do you understand the meaning of the term bought and paid for? He is the one who started Strive Asset Management, through which he allocates capital. It's not some Super PAC donor puling his strings and controlling his opinions and policies. Are you suggesting that....he put his money where his mouth is, unlike the Susan Rices of the world who had to be forced to? There is plenty of easy money to be made in green energy if Vivek just wanted easy ESG cash. |
So he wants to become President to drive policy towards the means that makes him money. |
Spot on. |

😂
He just crapped all over Pence snd Christie for attending TTT’s “ To Mr. Christie and Mr. Pence: you’re welcome. Please don’t make the law schools at Seton Hall and Indiana University cringe so badly for their alumni.” 😂 😂 😂 You can’t take the YLS out of the person (especially if they got in unhooked) |
Ironic, b/c they don't teach you the law at YLS. |
What a man of the people I really hate this guy. Hate his policies, hate his snake oil schtick, hate him. |
|
I love that he’s the autoadmit / above the law comment section candidate

I had held back pre-judging Ramaswamy. I waited until I saw some of his platform. His true colors came out with this: https://www.axios.com/2023/08/29/trump-vivek-ramaswamy-vice-president The only reason why I think Trump likes the guy is this: https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/meetthepressblog/vivek-ramaswamy-defends-positions-ukraine-taiwan-rcna102408 I see him as a closet-Pro-India, Pro-China, Pro-Russia stooge who will sell out the US at the first opportunity. A clown looking to curry favor with Communists to appear strong and powerful, just like Tulsi Gabbard or the other crazy Republicans that infiltrated the party. The good news is I'm guessing Trump won't like the guy at all and I'm sure they'll get along like oil-and-water behind closed doors. If the Republican's want to put a serious contender up, they need to focus on a moderate candidate. That will pull the rug out from under the Democrats too far to the left. |
He doesn’t seem pro China - if anything he’s too anti China. “Strategic clarity” means China goes into Taiwan tomorrow - literally His China policy would guaruntee invssjon of Taiwan within hours and the us cannot win a hot war with China without fundementally changing the trajectory to the downside for the us (China will also suffer but it is 5000 years old so they can “est bitter” easier) |
You don't think it's pro-China to say that the US won't back Taiwan? Or pro-Russia to say that Russia can just have as much of Ukraine as it wants? |
I thought the same thing. Up is down. Down is up in Vivek world. |
I’m not concerned with the Russia part but his plan with China is to move away from one China policy and explicitly back Taiwan - until semis move to USA There are two problems with this 1. Strategic ambiguity (what we have now) -> strategic clarity (what he wants) makes xi go in tomorrow. China will calculate thru can manage downside better than we can 2. It is impossible to move semis to the us — see the info about Tsmc struggling with American workers The only way semis are gonna move to us is if you airlift the entire Taiwanese population to the us and then allow Tsmc not to follow us labor laws ———————- I agree with you that his China policy is terrible but not for the same reasons you think. Your read on his China policy is flawed. It’s actually too blindly hawkish on China in a silly way |
We don’t “back” Taiwan as it is. Tell me, what is current us taiwan policy? |
