I disagree.

Schools should teach about all religions to all students and try and find the commonalities in all of them from an early age. This will lead to a harmonious society.

Parents should teach about their religion to students in a way that there is emphasis on the humanitarian aspect of religion only. This will connect the children to others in the community and improve their mental health.

Religion should never be taught in school unless it is a Seminary

You mean belief in God or Gods. Because plenty of other beliefs are taught in school. Not math, not reading, science, history, just straight up beliefs.

This - and public schools do not teach religion in a theological sense and are not allowed to pray on campus. If private schools are faith based, and privately funded, then it is their prerogative what to teach.

NP. No one should get paid leave just for having or adopting a baby. It's just another life choice. If you can't afford that choice, don't choose it.

I think anyone who stays in a shitty marriage as some kind of a martyr is not all that smart.

Both things are true.

No, not anyone with a divorce is damaged goods. Are you really going to say that to a person who was cheated on, for example? Or a person who was physically abused?

Yes, something is wrong with that person's judgement for marrying a person that would do that to them. They made a huge mistake in what was probably the biggest decision of their lives.

And then they are damaged goods for having been cheated on or abused. It's an awful experience for them that of course has negative impacts.

You are a dreadful person.

Bull.

Stop nut free classrooms. 90% of kids do NOT have FA’s!

Agree. Public schools would be so much better without all the catering to the IEP’s and 504’s. Pretty soon those kids and poor kids will be all that are left in the publics because everyone else will have left.

Oh puhleeze … our DD had an IEP and is now doing a PhD in a rarefied stem field … her BF had an IEP and now works for NASA. Many many students with IEPs are truly brilliant (gifted talented with learning differences) … if they get the supports they need when they are young, they usually have a lot to contribute to society. If they don’t, they are much more prone to being life long burdens on either their families or the state. It is a win win for them and society to help them to flourish.

Those are not the kids we mean. We mean the ones who constantly disrupt the entire class and keep everyone else from learning, or getting a fair share of the teacher’s attention.

Man so many people are making categorical statements about disabilities and ADHD/ASD and then backtracking when shown how absurd their opinion is. “Schools should stop having IEPs.” “Wow, that’s absurd because my child excelled thanks to getting the support he needs.” “Oh I’m not talking about him, he should have an IEP.”

Huh?

Parents of spoiled brats who have tantrums in any public place should be jailed.

It is baby selling and is illegal in most countries and it should be illegal here. I think the same about IVF. If you can't conceive naturally, live with it. You are not given a God-given right to procreate!

Here is the problem with the "another life choice", deal with it mentality. With the birth rate falling, we need as many kids as possible born into the best circumstances possible. I'm not a pro-government pay for everything person, but I do get concerned about the population rate falling.

But why should the taxpayer have to pay for your kid's special education?

Why should the taxpayer have to pay for your husband’s viagra? Because we support each other as a society, that’s why.

To the PP directly above, they don’t think that far. They only think about today. They done have the mental capacity, intelligence or education to think 30 years ahead.

Do you know what happens when you don’t educate the population? Of course you don’t.
