Nice try, but your goose is already cooked.

Plus 1.

Don't count your chickens too early. The Access Hollywood tapes didn't faze Trump's chances.

So, they already knew what a pervert Kavanaugh is and still tried to push him for a Monday voting? GOP is swimming with gunk!

Hey, everyone fights dirty when they have to. Is anyone surprised? If the base says shoot, they will and not even look at where they are aiming.

Fighting dirty is not rushing to put a alleged gang rapist on SC. Please! Do not normalize what GOP is doing at Trump's direction.

Back in the day, do you think someone with the name Debbie Ramirez would have gone there? Look at the names of the people stepping forward on her behalf. When universities like Yale diversify, it changes the culture and breaks up the silence of the elite regarding their own. I think the problem with people who behave as K is accused of doing is that they are so deep in their bubble that they don't realize the rest of the world exists and has a claim on them. That even mere plebeians can judge for themselves, and judge him. Complete denial.

This is so well-put.

I know nothing about Georgetown Prep. Is there a similar push to diversify? I imagine there are people on DCUM who were at GP or similar schools at the same time -- does no one speak up because they were all involved, or is it just that with private high school the culture hasn't changed as much as at universities with need-blind admission?

Have you all seen the gang rape allegations?

Yup, it is sickening to read the Avenatti email. I cannot belief that there are supposedly well educated people who behaved like animals and got away with it because of position and power of their parents.

Anonymous wrote:You know what makes your post so utterly ridiculous? This may come as a shock to you, but Republicans are also, <gasp> victims of sexual assault. You think they don’t care about victims when they are victims themselves? Do you even comprehend how ridiculous you sound?

Most of us are highly critical of the version of events Dr. Ford is putting forward because they lack details, the others she said were present are disputing her account, some of the details she has claimed are contradictory to other statements she presumably has made, and it happened 36 years ago.

Do you really suppose that surprises me?

To a woman, every Republican woman on this thread who is also a victim of sexual violence has had nothing but criticism for Kavanaugh’s alleged victim. When she was anonymous, she was a coward. When she came forward, it wasn’t fast enough. She shouldn’t have come forward if she didn’t report it back that. She shouldn’t have come forward at all because it doesn’t rise to the level of serious enough in your minds. You rely on biased, right wing media that feeds you the most anti-woman, anti-victim predictable smears.

Do you know why I suspect you all do this, beyond a partisan zeal that that small segment of remaining Republican women share? I think you do it because you have internalized all the nasty, misogynist messages you’ve been fed. On some level you think it’s her fault that this happened and you think it’s your fault that you were assaulted. It is not your fault that he assaulted you. It’s not. You didn’t do anything wrong. You could report or not, as feels comfortable to you. You can talk about it now or not. But I do pray that you find peace and benefit of the doubt for a fellow victim. Peace be with you.

You can't possibly back this up. A couple of these women are saying that flimsy allegations like Ford's undermines women assault victims who do have substantial allegations.

Exactly. I don't know whether Ford is telling the truth or not. Her account seems credible. But with zero evidence or witnesses, and three decades since the alleged incident occurred - is it any wonder many people are doubtful? And accounts like this - in which NO RAPE even occurred - really do diminish the real victims of sexual assault. No wonder women are looked at as silly. Situations like this certainly don't help.

It seems you feel that anything less than rape isn’t sexual assault?

What if someone a man tries to rape a woman but it’s just the tip? Or just a couple thrusts? Or he can’t get it up?

Listen to yourself.

Yes. I’m guessing Judge is already on a bender. Kavanaugh’s wife is going to hand out many, many more cupcakes to the press scrum in front of their house tomorrow if her nasty husband doesn’t come to his senses very quickly.

Avenatti has been on point with Cohen and Stormy information that he has alluded to/revealed, but he is also a grandstander and I am afraid he will distract from the accusers and/or kind of “poison the well.”

That is because the GOP Senators KNEW about all of this last week when they were trying to ensure the vote would be on Thursday.

Mitch McConnell, Chuck Grassley and anyone else who supported this knowing that Brett Kavanaugh May have participated in a gang rape need to resign. Now.
ent

It's apparent that Grassley took part in the Whelan mistaken identity story and possibly paid off the alternate sex offender. Grassley should be indicted after an investigation.

I went to an HYP in the 70's. An acquaintance was a self-described Chicana. She testified on behalf of Clarence Thomas.

He was such a drunk I wonder how much he truly does remember. How did he get this far with all that drinking?

No statute of limitations on sexual assault in MD , just saying. Brett boy you’re going down faster than the Jameson’s you illegally drank in Moco.

With his history of successful outings, there is no reason to disbelieve him right off the bat.
No, the well poisoning was done by the other side, to themselves.
