The only thing embarrassing is yourself... posting on an anonymous forum trying to bring down a youth club. My DC is talented and can be first team at any club. Sure there are some larger/stronger clubs, but I chose to keep my son away from toxic environments with parents like yourself. My focus right now is for my DC to continue to grow and enjoy the game. Valor has been nothing but great to us. The Coaches are great and have always looked out for my DC... been given multiple opportunities guest playing up an age group. All his teammates are great kids that support each other and the families/parents within Valor are genuine nice people. Let us be happy with Valor. For some reason you have a grudge and I feel sorry for you. |
i will agree parents have always been great. And my kid still has great friends from club. But if you kid is as good as you believe you are doing them a disservice by staying at valor |
Most of the complaints on here are regarding the 2nd-5th teams that are overcharged so your son's team can be a great experience. Just FYI in case you don't understand the economics of it. If you are happy with Valor why are you posting here arguing about it? You are happy, sure, the first teams all had their coaches hired and publicized a month ago and by all accounts were assigned the handful of decent coaches. Would you go ahead and accept the Valor team offer if Valor didn't have a coach hired and told you you would find out the secret identity of the coach in August? Just curious. |
As of Today. I didn't even check smaller clubs. DCSC - Only lists top Coaches BRYC - Only lists top Coaches VSA - Not Listed Arlington - Only lists top Coaches Revolution - Not Listed St. James - Not Listed Prince William Courage - Not listed |
Proximity. I'm not driving 30+ minutes to another club at this age. Again, my focus is for my DC to have fun and enjoy the game with friends. There's a solid group of 4-5 kids on this team. Eventually we'll move on to Union. |

Was Valor the only club posting a desperate help wanted hiring message on social media after their tryouts began???
PWSI has all of their coaches for next year listed right here on their site: https://www.pwsi.org/couragestaff VSA has some coaches listed on instagram. That's how we learned KL quit after having been assigned as a "lead coach".... They also have an article about new staff: https://prod-cms-files.demosphere-secure.com/_deimos/_public_files/017vup4yzkkr9/travel/VSA%20Announce%20the%20addition%20of%20new%20staff%20members%20and%20a%20new%20support%20system.pdf?CacheKey=1745617174 Revolution also posted some coaches on their instagram and has their first team coaches for MLS Next and GA on their website. TSJ is always on the verge of implosion so no surprise there. Regardless, lots and lots of Valor competitors have 80%+ of their coaches hired, so if people aren't happy getting the Valor mystery possibly a team parent coach in August, they should shop around. |

The only liar here is you. I never said “most clubs in DMV”. Not only are you a liar, you’re terrible at citing hilariously put up a direct quote of my post but then within your own text, you tried to quote something I never said. How uneducated and dumb can you be? Then you claim it’s a factually wrong when it’s been pointed out numerous times that there are indeed clubs without full coaching slates. It’s also in this very site where parents are asking about when coaching slates will be announced. Do you not understand? Parents of other clubs are posting on this very site in other threads. Then you turn to accusing anyone of refuting your claims of being Valor employees? I’m not defending Valor. I’m challenging your logic. If you don’t understand that, you are just a waste of oxygen. |
BRYC and Revolution will be forthcoming with you if you go to an ID session/ask who the coaches will be for next year. I don't know about the others. Valor is being cagey because they do not have all their second teams figured out let alone third and below. I would encourage any parent looking at those other clubs and see what kind of response you get. |
| We went to an ID session at Raventek in early April and they told us all three coaches. It was too far for us unfortunately-they practice four times a week. Beautiful facility. |
I think I know who your son is just based on what you have shared here. (Might not want to put so many details if you want to stay anonymous.) If I am right, your son playing up is more of an indicator of the weakness in that older age group than anything else. Not saying your kid isn't good, but that is the reality. Just know that things can change quickly especially as they move out of the younger age groups. Try to talk to people with older kids who are or were at the club to get their perspective. Be prepared to give your son options after next year in case things go south. Don't blindly put your trust in any club but especially not Valor. I hope it works out for you all. I sure wish it had for us. But it became very clear when it was time to move on. |

Yeah there arent probably many if any other u-little gold team boys being allowed to guest play up. I would get your post removed.
|
FVU at most may grab a player from valor. And i hope your DC is a girl because boys side has a crap group of coaches and is terrible. Its the valor of ECNL. |
I couldn't believe how nice it was when we went. They had a bar! Wish it was closer. |
A bar is the only way to tolerate some of these games. |
