SJC has one but a certain coach can’t get past his own pettiness and actually play the kid and Speaks won’t speak up. Everyone knows it and it was glaringly obvious last night. |
Just asking for clarification here - is your argument that kids who live in the 270 corridor aren't competitive academically? Is it only a true "non-fraud" Landon team if they strictly draw from Bethesda, Potomac, Chevy Chase, and NW DC? |
Who says humble pie? What are you 80? |
Good for Landon on the win but aren’t most of their best kids all from pretty far away? It’s not like it’s actually a team from the immediate area. Maddox helped bring in kids that shunted his own sons to the bench. In the end though, a win is a win! This is totally true. Landon’s admissions requirements were thrown out the door. Their team was the 270’s or whatever and it was all a fraud. Your post reeks of disdain towards Landon. Here are some facts: Landon's top 4 players on any given day this spring were the following: the Tufts bound LSM (Owens), the Utah Middie signee (Robertson), and then at attack the Bucknell signee (Panetti), and the Georgetown signee (Miller). Owens and Robertson have been at Landon since lower school and came up through the Bears program. Panetti and Miller came to Landon in the middle school. I'm sure Landon attracted some lax applicants for 9th grade and even 10th grade however the majority of the Bears roster has been at the school since LS / MS. The last time I checked, SJC, GZ, DM, Prep, and Bullis "recruit" pretty aggressively for athletics, I guess in your eyes it's a crime when Landon recruits. |
Apologies for double posting here folks: Your post reeks of disdain towards Landon. Let's hope GZ and Bullis compete well in this event as they are representing DC area lacrosse. Last year, GZ was embarrassed in this event going 0-2 and Bullis went 1-1. |
Congrats to GZ for escaping with a one-goal victory against an SJC team that was missing its best player.
First WCAC title for GZ in half a decade. First DMV loss for SJC in half a decade. These two teams will be battling for years to come. Love it. |

News Flash, much like no one "sent" Trump; he sent himself down that golden escalator to all of our detriment, the IAC is not "sending" Bullis. Bullis is sending themselves. To whose detriment, if to anyone's detriment at all, remains to be seen. Good luck to Bullis in this post season voluntary tournament. Good work from Landon players and coaches this year. I think the entire IAC drops off next year, but the top three will remain Bullis, Landon, and Prep. I think Bullis is taking on water, Landon graduated a lot of offense, and Prep always has tallent, but can it be applied effectively on the field. I suspect Urick's seat could be getting warmer. |
Bullis 2025s are over hyped.

SJC had a terrible time early in the year and fo was masked by the weak WCAC schedule. GZ, I'm pretty sure, won the fo % in the first game but were just out-hustled in the first game. Problems continued in the finals. I'm pretty sure SJC has a good sophomore and freshman. |
St. John’s has a ton of talent. They lost last night but they will be very competitive for many years. Now that they have lost a DMV game maybe the IAC will schedule a game.
You can do it too IAC. Lol |
The IAC has no problem scheduling other WCAC schools. Gonzaga was the best team in the area for a long stretch of time and the big IAC schools never hesitated to schedule the Purple Eagles.
The problem seems to be SJC |
Who wants the DeMatha job? You can be a gym teacher too. |
