Isn't it obvious? It's a hatchet job on Hawthorn. EVERYONE horses around naked with their third cousin/helper, don'tyaknow? /s I will admit that after watching this (wish I could unsee), I'm over here going 'I don't think that's how any of this is supposed to work". |
PP here and I thought Cawthorn was FOS when he talked about the parties because he lies all the time and loves attention. But the reaction makes me think he wasn’t BSing. |
So is this what's going on - Cawthorn's wife was a Russian honeypot who got a hold of lots of compromising pictures and video while they were married, and now the GOP is releasing it because Cawthorn has proven himself to be an untrustworthy liability? (and as a warning to others who might think about getting out of line?)
(And just think what they have on Lindsey Graham) |
Think what they have on all of them! I, too, thought the bit about the parties was just a weird rhetorical flourish but now I’m not sure. No wonder Republicans are willing to do anything to stay in office; the parties must be wild. |
The "establishment" GOP, such as it is. Or honestly, it could be him dropping this against himself to whine that he's being attacked, a la Tucker Carlson. He's stupid and he's a loose cannon. I am sure his district is reliably red so probably any other Republican would do. |
I can’t wait for Madison to burn it all down on his way out the door. If he has receipts on the GOP normies, he can get a lot of money for that.
The idea of Senators McConnell and Lankford attending the same orgy just gives me nightmares |
How about the video of him naked screwing in the bed with a new guy (maybe the same cousin). Was that one taken out of 'context' too? |
I'm starting to think he was telling the truth about these orgies. It's very clear someone is trying to hurt him |
It has nothing to do with orgies, it’s about Cawthorn deciding to run from a different district post-redistricting when the state party had intended the new district for someone else. |
I think we are well past that now. |
+1 No one is running a gay, video tape smear campaign against Cawthorn over him running in a new district. All the party would do in this case is fund the other candidate and get big endorsements lined up. |
Cawthorn has a double digit lead over the next closest contender in the Republican primary for that district, even after taking an 8-point hit from some of these earlier scandals. Defeating him isn’t as simple as just giving more money to someone else. Also, there are probably restrictions on the state party giving any campaign funds to individuals running for the nomination. |
This! People put too much power into political parties. His district LOVES him and this will only make them love him more. He'll blame it all on Antifa and they will believe him. Do you think the GOP party will say, Oh, it was us? Sure, there are orgies but this is about raw power and the NC political boss is mad and he can't take Maddie out. GOP created a bunch of Frankensteins that they can't control. womp, womp. |
“But - the leopard wasn’t supposed to eat *my* face - I- I- I don’t understand!” FTR I’m on the side that thinks the parties are real and that the GOP is pissed Maddie blew the whistle. Just because I credit them with being absolute hypocritical scum of the earth. |
Why are supposed progressives and liberals attacking and shaming the young man for possibly being gay of bisexual and not yet ready to come out? I thought the progressive liberal mantra was to be open and inclusive and respect the privacy of men and women exploring their sexuality. But you cheer on a smear campaign trying to shame him for being gay. It doesn't mesh with what liberals and progressives claim to stand for. It's a bad look for y'all, not for this kid. A dumb kid I frankly don't give a damn about -- and I'm not sure why anyone here does either, as I doubt anyone from his district posts here. |
