24 year old wins Republican primary in NC-11 house seat

He'll turn 25 right before the November election. It's a heavily Republican district & he's expected to win, becoming the youngest congressman in modern history. He looks so young (and inexperienced) to me, which is why I just find it so crazy.

Interesting story. He's paralyzed from waist down from an accident. Haven't heard him speak, but he looks charismatic in the pictures.

Cawthorn is running on a platform of opposing tax increases, an “unsustainable” national debt and “socialized” medicine

I'd love to hear his plan for reducing the debt without increasing taxes. Especially since it is every other Republican's platform in the country. Yet, somehow, the taxes keep going down for the rich, the spending keeps going up and the debt keeps climbing. But I'm sure this guy has it all figured out.

I also really hope he gets elected. He is pretty close to 26 at which point he will be kicked off his parents' insurance plan. I bet his medical expenses are pretty high.

Cawthorn’s website says he is a “constitutional conservative” who “is committed to defending the values of faith, family and the freedom that have made America great.” Cawthorn issued a statement on Tuesday night saying, “While the far left is lighting our cities on fire, we are lifting the light of liberty.” I just hope this young man grows up one day and realizes how trite this sounds and is and how he’s been brainwashed.

This is Mark Meadows old seat. It takes weird bends to not include Asheville, which is blue. It seems pretty gerrymandered. I've been following Col. Morris Davis on Twitter for a while. I heard he wants to do away ADA regulation. It will save a ton of money!

It went from R+28 to R+17 in a new map. Most importantly, the district now absorbed ALL of Asheville. I could see Davis winning if this guy proves unable to go beyond cliches or steps in it.
