People stating why they are happy is not pumping WSVA up. It is their opinion and they are entitled to it. If you are not at the club frankly who the f*ck are you to tell anyone anything different? Do you go on Amazon and troll reviews and tell people they are off base for liking a particular product that you've never bought or used? Or do you just post a review of something that you have first knowledge of, and experience with and call it a day? There is no right or wrong here. Some folks are in a situation that they are happy with, some are in a situation that they see could be improved, some are in a situation where they are not happy. All three of those realities can be simultaneously true because it is PERSONAL. So worry about your own f*cking kid at your own f*cking club or at least share where you are so that we can all tell you how unreasonable your decision is, objectively of course. |
And you have no dog in this fight. Yeah, we know. |
This is a discussion board, right? So you are asking me "who the F am I tell anyone anything different?" If you don't want responses, don't post. Silly me, I thought the concept of a forum is to discuss the topic. And, let's not move the goalposts here, what WSVA parents and fan club posters are doing is much more than stating their happiness. Don't play the woe is me card here. Ok? |
+1 Look at the clubs they bash on here and their coaches. Tough to compare spirit staff as a whole to McLean, bryc, Spirit md, vda, etc. Also +1 to Spirit brings the bashing on themselves. |
You are not discussing, that is the point. You are pushing an agenda and reject the possibility that some people are just happy with their decision. There is no goal post to move. Some people are happy, some are see where improvements could be made and some people are unhappy. That is the continuum. The goal posts are individual and personal. When somebody says that they are happy with their kids development, that may be true for them. When somebody says they pay to much for what they are getting, that is also true for them. What I object to with regards to you is you telling someone that their experience is wrong or that they have an agenda. No, they have an opinion, you just don't like it. You haven't exposed any great truth or revealed any great answers. All your posts amount to are nothing more than pages of back and forth of "nuh uh", "yes I am", "no you're not". So, state for the record whether you are or are not, or ever have been affiliated with Spirit or just stfu because you're nothing more than a troll. |

I see you all made the recruiter and his friends upset.
Beware the Ides of March |
You're really afraid you will lose kids to Spirit? |
NP here. Thank you for saying this. You expressed our sentiments exactly. Winning isn't the only way to measure your kid's experience at a soccer club. |
How stupid are we going to look in 2 years when WSVA is the best thing going in this area what will haters say then??
|
I fixed it for you. |
No friend of recruiter. I am not. |
Then why do you care? |
Oh stop that |
You are conflating multiple posts by multiple posters. I have no agenda nor do I care if anyone else does. I am not exposing anything. Anyone can go watch games since they are not played behind closed doors and judge for themselves. I am not telling anyone their experience is wrong either. I am purely discussing DC area youth soccer and MY opinions on the relative strength of the WSVA program compared to other GDA and ECNL clubs. And MY opinion is that WSVA lags behind every GDA program in the area and most ECNL programs in the area in terms of staff, development, talent AND results. You can disagree with MY opinion or not. But if someone posts WSVA rah-rah and I happen to see it and have time to respond, I might. See how it works...I am free to respond to anything posted just like you are. And if someone bashes a club in a manner I think is inaccurate, I will share MY opinion then as well. So here is MY statement on WSVA so that you don't get confused: WSVA lags behind every GDA program in the area and most ECNL programs in the area in terms of staff, development, talent AND results. Maybe that changes, maybe it doesn't. Maybe deeper quality staff will be the magic bullet (like I think it may be), maybe not. No skin off my back. You are free to agree or disagree but I am not going to lose my mind over it either way. You are taking this way too seriously. |
Because I'm a big ol'carebear. Spirit VA DA was on life support a month ago. They cant even recruit fast enough to replace the talent leaving; let alone build on the talent they have. Spirit 04 and above is not better then the local ECNL teams. In fact, more kids have left Spirit in these age groups for ECNL teams than has joined. There is more to come next year. You can write these age groups off. Spirit 05 maybe on Par with area ECNL teams. Not a surprise since they ran a coupe on the McLean 05 team. The fight is now for ththe 6-07 age group. Hence this thread. |
