1. The friend that she went to the party with does not support her story. If things happened the way that she said they did, her friend would have remembered that night. She left the party without talking to her friend. That friend would have been angry. Two girls at a house with 4 boys and one of them leaves without telling the other? That friend would have called her the next day asking what the heck happened. Also what kind of friend gets assaulted by two guys and leaves her friend in the house with the same two guys???

2. Her family is not supporting her. That is very telling.

+1

I am no fan of Kavanaugh, BUT so many questions!

Strongest memory was laughter, not face of attacker - how is she so sure it was Kavanaugh?

Implored FBI to determine employment history of Mark Judge, when her lawyers presumably had access to Judge's book.

Who drove her home? She didn't have a car/license and Leland presumably did not either, given that they were in the same grade. That would mean that a boy drove her home. Could not have been Mark or Brett - that leaves PJ or boy whose name she doesn't remember.

She testified that she ran out of the house, passing the kids in the living room -- what happened after she ran outside? How did she get someone to drive her home?

Also, what about Squi, whom she was dating? When did they stop dating? Where was he that night?

Her family supported her. Did they expose themselves? No. Neither did Brett’s parents. Why should they?
When reports called the Blasey parent household the dad answered to say that he ‘loved and supported his daughter’. That’s enough.

And noting that Christine Ford said she would submit herself to investigation by the FBI, while Kavanaugh didn't make the same commitment even though it's the right thing to do.

It isn’t the right thing to do if you drank a lot in HS and knew you had blacked out a few times and cannot really piece together what happened.

Can a supreme court justice be disbarred?

Of course.

Grassley is saying he doesn't care about the ABA or the rule of law. He says that ABA gave him a highly qualified rating, so too f**** bad if the ABA wants to confirm that Kavanaugh isn't a rapist before giving him a seat on the nation's highest court for life.

This is in reference to...?
Links are friendly!

ABA pulled their endorsement and said that there should be a FBI investigation in order to maintain the integrity of the supreme court. They sent a letter to the SJC members last night.

Same ABA that he bragged endorsed him in the hearing.

He will be confirmed. So let me ask: what does an impeachment look like if dems take congress? What is process? How likely would a real effort be mounted? Any precedent?

Poor CBF probably regrets the day she contacted Rep. Eschew and WaPo. I bet she wishes for a time machine.

Just like a 40 minute Law & Order SVU show.

The American Bar Association called Thursday evening for postponing a vote on Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court until sexual assault and misconduct allegations made by Christine Blasey Ford and others are investigated by the F.B.I.

Separately, the magazine of the Jesuit religious order in the United States, America, withdrew its endorsement of Judge Kavanaugh, who was educated by Jesuits at Georgetown Preparatory School in Maryland. In a statement on Thursday, the editors said the nomination was “no longer in the best interests of the country.”

“If Senate Republicans proceed with his nomination, they will be prioritizing policy aims over a woman’s report of an assault,” the magazine said. “Were he to be confirmed without this allegation being firmly disproved, it would hang over his future decisions on the Supreme Court for decades and further divide the country.”

The statements from the A.B.A. and America followed a day of emotional and at times painful testimony, which included Dr. Blasey’s allegations of sexual assault by Judge Kavanaugh at a house party 36 years ago and his angry denial of the encounter.

Yes, it's shameful. Hopefully she can take comfort that Kavanaugh's reputation was sullied and that America has learned that he's not the virgin volunteer choir boy he tried to portray himself as.

If he's confirmed then the stall tactic did not work. Nothing more will happen. Maybe a few more National Enquirer-like articles here and there from both sides.

The fact that Feinstein leaked the letter identity late and whipped this together in <5 days was not helpful as a tactic to get him out of SCOTUS.

Found his statement yesterday - his grandstanding - about how Democratic party members "want power" so sanctimonious. This entire process is rooted in the GOP's unquenchable thirst for power, even above the country. It is despicable. Can't say that I like Graham but certainly thought he was one of the few GOP leaders with integrity. Not anymore. I will contribute generously to his opposition.

Did you watch his 30+ hours of testimony 2 weeks ago?
Yesterday he was there defending his reputation, his integrity and his livelihood. He was facing people who had called him “evil” and a “danger to all.” He was facing people who had proudly and publicly said, “I believe her” before hearing any testimony. He had every right to be angry. He had every right to show his fury at these ridiculous charges.
And, no, he could not adequately defend himself without showing his outrage. Had he done that, you folks would still say, “Look... he really is guilty. An innocent man would have more anger.”

Face it - NOTHING he did would please you.

This. So much this.

I honestly cannot believe some people think he should have somehow handled himself better. The man is being acused of sexual assault. I expect him to be angry and show it.

He is not presiding over a court case. He is defending his reputation.

His upset during the opening statement didn't perturb me at all. His mention of revenge for the Clintons, though...he lost me there. There is no place for that kind of psycho-conspiracy-theory thinking from a Supreme Court Justice.

Also, an innocent man would answer yes or no questions straight up. He wouldn't divert and brag about his grades and the law school he attended repeatedly. He'd just answer the questions.

It isn’t surprising when you see the Judicial Watch guy in the audience. Kavanaugh clearly buys into the crazy conspiracies against HRC!

Yes, I hope she takes comfort is damaging his reputation on live TV all in the name of politics.

Does no one notice how rich people live here ? School, games, every weekend away either at your close by resort home in St Michael’s or lounging at someone else’s luxury place. Parties. Lunches. What a life.

Also, did high schools typically have games over the summer months back then?

No. So weird.
And who saved their calendars from the 1980’s?
