Are you saying that Beauvoir/STA now announce (aloud) the names of the boys who have accepted? Our Beauvoir class didn't find out for sure who accepted until orientation meeting at STA in mid-April. Yes, the Beauvoir early acceptance contract-deposits are due this month.

Explain who the Beauvoir applicants have been announced to, this sounds strange and is insensitive to the Beauvoir boys who were rejected and also families who are still on edge waiting to hear back from other schools.

I think what PP meant to say is that the decisions on the Beauvoir boys have already been sent to the families (letter notice that they will be accepted in March, deferred/waitlisted for now, or rejected outright). As for the "announcement," that's simply the infamous Beauvoir grapevine working overtime. Most of us know who was accepted and who has notified STA of their intent to accept by now. Yes, it is insensitive to the Beauvoir boys and families who were rejected or waitlisted. But there is simply no stopping the chatter, at laest among the parents. The boys, as far as I can tell, have remained mum.

Info on the reception is posted on the STA website. As a PP mentioned, many schools have these for admitted applicants. STA's is on March 12.
