Will the pandemic make it easier to get in this admissions cycle?

Is there any attrition in the high school due to the pandemic?

This was helpful. Honestly, though, I never would have thought about practicing for ERB. I took this in school growing up and never prepped. I went to a PK-12, so there wasn’t much reason, but I don’t think it would have ever in a million years occurred to my parents to have done any prep for anything even if I did need to apply 😂 Very much had type B parents...

agreed. they do not need the tuition money and the vast majority of parents are in jobs where the tuition is insignificant and their jobs are stable and their savings are vast.
Lots of money all around = almost no impact from the pandemic.

Plus, there is about to be a turnover in WH, which means new Administration coming to town and , with it, a big demand for spots in DC area Privates as all those new hires come to town from Cabinet down to lower level staffers

Washington is about to get its mojo back - real estate is going to soar and spots at Inside the beltway Private schools are going to be in big demand for Jan 2021

That is such a myth that there is turnover in real estate and schools with changes in administration. Everyone stays. Let's say for the sake of argument Biden wins, staff will come from lots of people already living here. Outgoing administrations stay and move to K street.

Yeah I know. The for sale signs in town from all the folks leaving en masse back to the American heartland is a sight to see every couple of election cycles. And then the new crop of green behind the ears folks come on in to serve their country.

This happens only in movies my friend. Not reality.

If STA is ever planning to go back in person, why are they not testing students yet?
Anonymous
Because the test is just a snap shot of whether you have on that one day only.

It will be easier to get in at St Albans with all the Trumpies leaving.
