Bodanski's Pizza in Beltsville (my Dad bought me my first legal beer there), any Little Tavern, the original Ledo's, The Golden Bull, Bish Thompson's, O'Donell's, the Flagship and Jack in the Box drive thru tacos at 2:00 am on a Saturday night!

for good food: Pleasant Peasant (Mazza Gallerie), Japan Inn (Georgetown), Red Sage (Metro Center), Amma’s vegetarian (Georgetown)
for nostalgia/fun memories: Austin Grill, Childe Harold, Uncle Julio’s (16th and U), rooftop of Hotel Washington

Cranks in Covent Garden, London. Big wooden communal tables, earthenware with vegetarian dishes and herbal teas. Very crusty.

Gauloise. The chef and his wife "madame" who ran the front of the house live near me in Arlington. They have a beautiful garden.
