another example of why local Catholic lacrosse families aren't looking as strongly as they once did at Prep. The more GP goes down the boarding route to recruit all blue-chip recruits, the more it will turn off local families. |
New pole, Goalie, 2 attacks are boarder starters for GP. Any others? |
| Prep going official GRADE 13 now. Need to put a Pub on that campus for the boys to relax there. |
| You must be new. They already have one in the building in the end zone. Not kidding. |
is this true? |
Double holdback from Charlottesville is 1 of the attackers? |
The attack will be the 5 star to Princeton (local), the 4 star 27 to Brown (Wisconsin) and the 3 star 27 to Navy (NY). |
You seem confused. IAC rules disallow anyone who is 19 years old at the start of this school year from completing in any sport. |
Come on. Everyone knows they have older guys. |
| If they are taking an extra year of hs to be recruited, means they were not good enough to be recruited on age. Take all the post grads you want. |
naive |
Totally naive. You get the kids who have injuries during their recruiting window. Or had better options by sitting an extra year. Or the coaches actually told them to do a pg year as well. OR the even more likely, they needed an extra year for either academics or overall maturity. Lots and lots of reasons kids take additional years. There is very little money in this sport. So its only for love of the game on their part that this is even worth entertaining, but adulthood is a long, long time if you're lucky and if parents can afford to help their kids more realistically live their dreams, why not? Its all a personal choice, and if you don't like or want to do it. You get that choice. |
| Ok, sounds like a good plan. Good luck. |

GP is utilizing its dorms to reclassify kids from out of state for a few years now.
And yes, most of whom have already played 3 years of HS ball elsewhere but somehow play an extra 2 years at GP. So yeah Prep has had 5th years on its roster for a several years now. Still afraid to play the Cadets though. |
Long list of local kids doing very well this season in NCAA and 90% were re lass. Some double. |
