The laws need to be changed, but Republicans are too dumb to understand that and killed a bill that would have fixed a lot of the problems. |
If Haiti is so great, maybe you could move there. Is the country still being run by a gang lord named "Barbecue?" |
Trump is playing you all for fools.
All he confirmed is that they are going to remove people with final deportation orders, same as always. But MAGA thinks that means the end of asylum and 20million people being removed. |
Okay, well we're going through the process of denying the claims, let's spend billions and billions and billions of dollars to detain everybody in giant private prisons. That's definitely such an excellent use of our tax dollars. Why have these people out contributing to the economy when they could be vacuuming up tax dollars instead? |
Trump is saying he's going to declare a national emergency and use troops to do mass deportations.

Haitian economy was almost as bad as Springfield OH's was before Haitians moved in to rescue it. |
Green Card Holders Supporting Trump's Immigration Policies Why Don’t People Understand?
I've noticed a growing sentiment among green card holders who support stricter immigration enforcement, including deportations. Many feel frustrated by the delays and challenges they've faced due to the overwhelming number of undocumented cases. These individuals followed the rules, waited in line, and did everything by the book to earn their legal status. The perception is that undocumented immigration disrupts the system, making it harder for those who play by the rules. Some green card holders I know are excited about the possibility of stricter enforcement, believing it would restore fairness and efficiency to the system. Interestingly, this sentiment isn’t confined to legal immigrants. In the 2024 election, Hispanic-majority border towns in Texas, such as Starr County, voted overwhelmingly for Trump. Starr County, with a 97% Hispanic population, had consistently voted Democratic for over a century but shifted to support Trump in 2024. Why do people struggle to understand this perspective? Supporting enforcement isn’t necessarily anti-immigrant; for many, it’s about respecting the process and ensuring fairness for those who follow it. |
You are impervious to objective evidence. The policy encouraged more and more border crossings of people claiming asylum, because the outcome is exactly what those people were seeking. If they were able to get lucky enough to get a free bus ride to a generous sanctuary city, they got provided free shelter and got jobs almost immediately. |
That bill wasn’t meant to fix any problems. |
You voted to spend a heck of a lot of tax dollars to put all these people in jail. Get to work because we're going to need those dollars for this detention disaster. |
We have a legal process to follow to rule they don’t. Asylum =|= illegal until it’s ruled as such. Democrats believe in the rule of law. |
Having migrants in detention will save money. They will no longer be costing local communities money for public services. Trump also said he would send them back to Mexico to wait for their court date. If the migrants are sent back to Mexico or detained and promptly removed, far fewer will come. They will not sell all of their belongings to pay a human trafficker to come here if they cannot achieve the goal they want to, which is being released into and work in this country. The migrants are not asylum seekers. They are not fleeing persecution or torture. They are purely economic migrants. |
Crossing the border in between the ports of entry is against the law. Democrats do not believe in the rule of law. They believe in chaos and lawlessness. We see that in their support of illegal immigration and of violent criminals. |
What you're missing is that a lot of the people here illegally are caught and then they are claiming defensive asylum so they don't get deported. They are in fact illegal and then use the backlogged asylum system to buy a few more years here knowing they don't qualify. |
Do you have any sources for any of the claims you made? |
