Poster is right. This Caps will not be attending games in PY. I tend to drive to games, and have had very few issues. PY is not remotely attractive.

And they won't be able to get a direct access from the GW Parkway into this area, so all of the cars are going to have to use Rt 1, which is already a gridlock nightmare.

Not a fan of Jack Evans but he is likely right about this. SO much positive momentum being reversed, deliberately, by city leadership. They act like the revenue will just keep flowing no matter how bad things get, they don't value business and they don't value the commitment those of us who have lived here and paid taxes for decades have made. Instead, the commercial corridors are turned into private public housing and homes for the mentally ill, addicted and formerly incarcerated. Schools are in decline and they don't even address truancy that is close to 90% in some schools. The laxity re: juvenile crime has lead to historic levels of shot and killed black kids. I can't even say it's akin or Nero fiddling while Rome burns, this low energy crowd couldn't muster the energy for that.

The idea that MD based fans will keep attending Caps games at PY is absurd. Hockey is booming in the MD inner and outer burbs. The likelihood that we would attend a weekday game with our hockey playing children at PY is nil.

I'm a Caps fan living in MD and I'll go to Potomac Yard with my kids, one of whom plays hockey in MoCo.

You need to dial down the drama a few dozen notches.

The Ds are doing a fine job running DC schools into the ground. In some HS, almost 90% of the kids are habitually truant. Hard to trace where the $ goes instead, so many pockets, so much graft.
