The more I read about this Whittle fiasco, the more I’m shocked. Especially by the entire group of parents (including a Maret HOS wife) who made financial decisions with Whittle. The arrogance and hubris…

This is a book, and lawsuits, and possibly a Pulitzer for the real story of the Whittlegate and the insider dealing within the Beltway

She didn’t make financial decisions for whittle. This is going to cause issues when people are lying on their name and what they have done. Her role was not in the financial department.

All of the people “citing” the rumored transfers most likely have nothing to do with either Maret or Whittle. They are just looking to stir up controversy and are unhelpful with the discussion.

Based on this discussion, Maret appears to be a popular school. That school already has more than enough interest without the Whittle students. Why would they specifically bend over for former Whittle students? Maret already has the students it needs. It would be helpful if an actual Maret parent could comment here instead of an outsider starting rumors.

I head a retained executive search firm. I can imagine Maret + its board is none too pleased about this negative press. Someone will have to answer for this new HOS selection. My guess is he will "resign" before he even starts. BTW-- for all of the naysayers here-- Maret is a great school.

True story. I got back to my car in the IKEA parking lot in College Park today and there was a Whittle car magnet on the ground. Someone must have had a moment of rage. I felt bad for the parent. That kind of moment shouldn’t be in the IKEA parking lot…

That is funny I don’t understand why anyone would have a Whittle magnet or bumper sticker on their car in the first place. We are a former family. As I was cleaning out my place, I noticed a lot of Whittle souvenirs from the inaugural year. My kid complained that Whittle wasted so much money on fluff, rather than on educational quality. This is probably why teachers were never paid on time. Chris Whittle has the tendency to not know how to prioritize spending.

I am PP who personally knows of 2 transfers from Whittle to Maret. Those who do not believe it will come to the realization in September.
