| This is an epic, detailed, well-written and comprehensive expose. I attempted to post the text from the main article (there are at least four articles as part of the coverage) but the thread was deleted (which I understand, presumably, for copyright purposes). |
| If you click print on the article, you can cut and paste the whole thing... |
| I did but it was removed. Again, I understand why but I tried. |
I meant so people can read it on their own without signing up. |
I hit print instantly then Save as PDF so it captured the whole article before the subscription barrier came up. |

Hey guise. It's finally here!
Complaint in DC Superior Court filed June 9 for possession of the school premises!! Free on scribd with trial account https://www.scribd.com/document/577834756/Is-Whittle-School-Being-Evicted Complaint alleges only $27,198,133.72 in unpaid rent from April 2020 - May 2022. I'm sure the Parents Investment Committee will be getting a call soon! |
| Do we think that Whittle School will actually appear in court to defend the action, or will they just hide and get another default judgment, figuring that it takes sooo long to be actually locked out that they can try to get another year in. |
Was the plan for Whittle to sublease from whoever took over the new lease of the building? Basically to fly below the radar in terms of legal responsibility directly to the owner, and negotiate some sublease with the new lessee? |
| A follow-up article is back the WBJ today on the suit filed to evict the school. |
| Seems like Whittled scammed everyone from their own employees to the contractors, and even the landlord. Has the school done business with anyone who was happy in the end? |
| I wonder if we could get a tour next week…. |
| I don't have a subscription to WBJ. Are these articles more critical than the fluff piece by WP? |
Probably not. After all, you can go back three and half decades now and be lucky to find a single person, business or any other entity who's happy to have worked with Chris Whittle on any enterprise, period. Except for some of the people he's brought on as highly-paid toadies to make him look legit. CW seems to possess some magic that repeatedly obscures this fact. But it IS a fact. |
|
The magic is that the parent investment committee takes $ from poor POC and hands it to their kids through their shady businesses. Reverse Robin Hood. So then, why would they care where it goes as long as they get a marginal benefit?
But the peer group? Ew. |
