People on here said the first team coach for 2013, GL, was good. No other coaches for the other 3 teams have been listed. According to posters here there fourth team coach for this past year was fired midyear under mysterious circumstances and no one will spill the tea.

For 2011, the second coach is leaving after just one year which I heard was his first year of coaching. He also coach 2010 and I heard that from a 2010 parent.

Well it was U14 and U15 but yes. It went as well as you are imagining.

per their website, the second tryout was rescheduled for tomorrow at Greenbriar park at 6:45.

For U9, in the past, they would wait until the Summer. It's hard to fully evaluate a player with only 2 tryouts. They're young, could have been shy or not 100% healthy at tryouts. They do 3 or 4 practices over the Summer to further evaluate the players and then place them on their respective teams.

Thats a real short turnaround time to order uniforms. Unless the parents have to commit by July.

No, you register first. 1st teams are probably 80% already decided since this is the first year that Valor did a U8 Academy. When my son went through, they did a good job placing the players exactly where they should have been. They even moved a couple around after the first 2 games. You as a parent should have an idea and expectation of what team they should be on based on your child's talent and there really shouldn't be a surprise.

My son started out at Valor at U9. The offer was not for a specific team. But one potential clue is the timing of the offer. An offer shortly after the first tryout is a sign that your child will probably be on one of the top two teams. We also got a personal email from the lead coach telling us that an offer would be coming. There were a few practices during the month of July, with team placement notification shortly after that. I don’t remember whether we ordered uniforms before or after the team placement. Theoretically you don’t need to wait to find out what team you’re on before ordering the uniform kit.

Well you would need to know the specific team assignment and coach before deciding whether it was worth 3000$.
