DA vs ECNL vs everything else

So just enjoy whichever club your kid is in and do not worry about others and who is better and who is not. Wasted energy.

Why do these posts exist? Seriously, I wish i had access to ALL of this information, good or bad, 3 years ago. Let me sort out the wheat/chafe and not be distracted by your commentary. It helps to figure out whats what and sometimes the stuff you clearly dont enjoy, helps out others. Having been in a shitshow of a club before, its not easy to enjoy lip service to development.

Upvoting his own posts. Doesn't get any more stupid than that.

Says the guy who assumes he knows who is posting what on an anonymous public forum. Embarassing.

Your tone is so recognizable. And many people on here know who you are.

Was or is your kid playing in shitshow club? If so can you tell me, so we can steer away from that club. Thanks.

Serious question: what would you do differently? What are you doing now?

Just a PSA for those interested. ECNL playoffs/showcases are ongoing, GDA playoffs/showcases start tomorrow. Some games are streamed online. Good chance to see some high level youth soccer.

^^^^. I’m serious. Maybe I can benefit and avoid the same mistakes.

Uh yeah, why would we spend any time watching youth soccer during a world cup summer.

That clubs name is Prince William Soccer Inc. but you are probably not wrong.

And now that VDA takes their best, it probably isnt the same for players.

So that when you post next about DA or ECNL you actually have a bit of experience watching it critically.

Plenty of experience watching it. It is fine but it is youth soccer. They improve each season but it is no world cup.

I did watch a few of the ECNL games and was underwhelmed. There are some quality players but the overall play is not better than that of top-ranked non-ECNL teams. The McLean U19 ECNL team looks strong but some of the other teams at that age are much weaker than other local non-ECNL teams. I watched the MD state u19 champsionship a few weeks ago and both teams, FC Bordeaux and OPSA would smash many of the ECNL teams and give the tops teams a serious run. Goes to the point of why are teams flying to Seattle to play when they could play strong competition inside the DMV.

Everyone grumbles about the travel in ecnl and gda. Some, but not so many have abandoned these leagues because of it. Do think there will be a huge advantage in the market to the one that reduces the travel burden and markets their league that way.
