| Any information on coaches from the tryouts tonitw? |
But must have a PhD in poor communication and poop-ton of licenses that don’t mean anything. |
Offers have gone out. Which age group are you waiting for? |

| Any updates on the missing coach slate? |
| Still nothing on their website or social media. Wow. They must have needed to hire dozens of coaches after tryouts began. |
Or tryout numbers / acceptance is low and they don't know how many teams they will have. Either way they have more information than they are sharing. I still want to know what lead coaches means. |
|
They didn't explain what their new "lead coach" phrase meant at tryouts?
My friend had a kid on a third team and they had zero interaction with the first team coach this year. |
Seems like that is going to continue. Lead coach had no insight into any team placement other than the top team. "Left that up to those coaches" not sure how that is helpful or leading. |
Did he even identify who "those coaches" would be? |

My friend had a kid on a third team this year. No coach at tryouts last year.
Anyway the first and second teams started practicing together in early July. Her kid's team did not start practicing until almost September. The coach was not hired until right before the practices started. Coach had never coached travel before. The team composition did not make sense, no GK, only 1 defender even though it had a really big roster and kids were added into September. It was clearly picked by someone who knew they wouldn't be coaching that group. Third team had separate practices from the 1st and 2nd teams which continued to practice together all year. Year did not go well. She never saw anyone from Valor or the "first" team coach at any practice or game. They are headed to another club next year! |
| any insight into who is coaching the boys 2012 teams after the first coach? |
longtime lurker, NP here not from NoVA. All these little programs don't pretend like they're some soccer juggernaut. They just provide travel soccer for communities. I think Valor gets so much mockery and hate because it's a poser hawking BS crap product to families and players. CYA and SYA families rightfully believe they are big enough and good enough to deserve the bare minimum of what passes for professionalism in travel soccer management. Valor (and its marketing hype man here on DCUM) front like they're Loudoun, Bethesda or some giant club, but yes, behind the facade of Instagram and Fathers Day Fiesta tchotchkes it's just a total joke. |
| Why doesn't everyone just email valor asking who the coaches will be? Maybe they will figure out that holding tryouts without coaches listed isn't helpful. |
