Untrue. They are communicating coaches at tryouts. No idea why they havent published the information but most people who went to a tryout should know the coach except for the few gaps that need to be plugged (mostly lower level teams).
What's your theory on why they aren't publishing the info? Unqualified coaches?
They are probably trying to avoid publicly showing which age groups they still don't have coaches hired for. I don't think this is some great mystery. Bad situation for sure. But as so many people have pointed out, this seems quite common with many clubs in the area.
It’s not common to only list one coach per age group and still not have this info at tryouts. And no they aren’t announcing coaches for every team in an age group at all tryouts. Stop with the “many clubs” BS unless you’re going to provide a list of clubs where this is the case.
There are clubs that has "Coaching Slate Coming Soon" on their official website with nothing when you click on the link.
You do your own research. Some of those clubs that do not have complete coaching slates were specifically listed on this very thread. I am not here to defend Valor but the fact remains that this is not a problem only in Valor. As some have also indicated, there are indeed clubs that do have a complete coaching slate. Do your own research and go to one of those clubs if it is causing you this much anxiety.
Most clubs are posting coaches on social media and the website might not be updated (arlington and VSA for example).
VSA's social media lists, go figure, lead coaches. Not complete coaching slate.
Arlington still has TBDs
GFR still has TBDs
Potomac still has TBDs
These are just from the examples that were identifed on this thread. I am not going to look through every team site, but I would suspect there are more.
I agree it sucks for Valor. I agree Valor should have done a better job and not just list "lead coaches". I won't go and argue that this is "common". But simple fact check proves it is not "uncommon"
