Did Avenatti post this?

Ok can someone tell me what the hell this post is about?

Screen shot from Avenatti twitter account. Avenatti posted his list of questions for Grassley's Senate Judiciary nominating committee head detailing a list of questions that they would like to know about alleged gang rape that involved presumably Judge and Kavanaugh

Who is making an allegation of gang rape, and it seems mighty unprofessional for an attorney to post his list of questions on twitter. Is this normal protocol?

What is mighty unprofessional is how GOP is trying hide all the dirt on Kavanaugh and rush this nomination so that the mighty unfit president can have his back covered for subpoena. Why should Avenatti write in secret when he knows fully well that anything he writes in GOP's views will be hidden from public and also from their Democrats colleagues. Are you kidding me? Mighty unprofessional, huh!

Anonymous wrote:You know what makes your post so utterly ridiculous? This may come as a shock to you, but Republicans are also, <gasp> victims of sexual assault. You think they don’t care about victims when they are victims themselves? Do you even comprehend how ridiculous you sound?

Most of us are highly critical of the version of events Dr. Ford is putting forward because they lack details, the others she said were present are disputing her account, some of the details she has claimed are contradictory to other statements she presumably has made, and it happened 36 years ago.

Do you really suppose that surprises me?

To a woman, every Republican woman on this thread who is also a victim of sexual violence has had nothing but criticism for Kavanaugh’s alleged victim. When she was anonymous, she was a coward. When she came forward, it wasn’t fast enough. She shouldn’t have come forward if she didn’t report it back that. She shouldn’t have come forward at all because it doesn’t rise to the level of serious enough in your minds. You rely on biased, right wing media that feeds you the most anti-woman, anti-victim predictable smears.

Do you know why I suspect you all do this, beyond a partisan zeal that that small segment of remaining Republican women share? I think you do it because you have internalized all the nasty, misogynist messages you’ve been fed. On some level you think it’s her fault that this happened and you think it’s your fault that you were assaulted. It is not your fault that he assaulted you. It’s not. You didn’t do anything wrong. You could report or not, as feels comfortable to you. You can talk about it now or not. But I do pray that you find peace and benefit of the doubt for a fellow victim. Peace be with you.

You can't possibly back this up. A couple of these women are saying that flimsy allegations like Ford's undermines women assault victims who do have substantial allegations.

Exactly. I don't know whether Ford is telling the truth or not. Her account seems credible. But with zero evidence or witnesses, and three decades since the alleged incident occurred - is it any wonder many people are doubtful? And accounts like this - in which NO RAPE even occurred - really do diminish the real victims of sexual assault. No wonder women are looked at as silly. Situations like this certainly don't help.

If it is so flimsy, should be very easy to dismiss with an FBI investigation.

Said the people who just last week told us that the FBI has no business investigating a state crime.

To date, Avenatti has been able to advocate really effectively for a specific group of marginalized women - eg playboy model, adult film star. So my immediate thought here is -- whatever happened to that DC madam's phone records and client list?

I'm betting Avenatti's sources are former DC escorts who were gang raped (or had friends who were) at the house parties to which Avenatti refers. These escorts likely knew exactly who these men were -- as acknowledging their "power" is part of the role.

The last few pages sure do demonstrate the shit for morals of the Kavanaugh fans. Keep it up, it’s a good look.

Go for it, as long as you do it with your name attached to it and say that you want the FBI to investigate fully.

Why not? He would be able to inflect a considerable amount of damage, and no one would be able to prove he was lying.

There are plenty of conservative picks that could have been made, Barnett, Thapar, others. None of them would reduce the country or DCUM to this level.

Don't blame this on MeToo or Democrats. Blame this on Kavanaugh

Libs will get the most conservative woman in the country. Then you'll be wishing you got BK. Lol.

Best to know,p this from Day 1,she will never be confirmed, amd they would be idiots to try. Keep moving down the line.

Wow. I’m pretty jaded at this point but did not see the rape train coming AT ALL.

I'm a woman and I believe it all. I believe the friends and supporters who think the nominee would never comport himself like this.
He's an aggressive drunk, and apparently only behaves like this when drunk. It's easy to accept that the circle who has never been with him at a high school or college party sees a completely different side of him than the much more restricted circle who was with him when he behaved badly. It is easy to see that if he and some witnesses were drunk, they cannot remember the incidents. Only the non-drinkers and the ones who were assaulted but weren't completely in a stupor can remember. That's why there are precious few witnesses.

Others have explained why women could not come forward in previous decades to complain about such treatment, and others have explained why victims are moved to come forward now, because the nominee is up for a job of greater magnitude and power over other women than your average lawyer or banker.

The only one I don't believe is the nominee. Instead of saying: "I don't remember these incidents", which might be true, he says: "I never did this". That is a lie, because there are plenty of corroborated accounts among his own friends and supporters that he used to become very drunk at parties. And when you're that drunk, *you don't remember*. The only piece of evidence in this entire sad situation is that Brett Kavanaugh is a proven liar.

And as history has shown, it's the lie that's punished, not the crime!

Terrific. provide a polygraph.

She took the polygraph before she decided to go public. If she hadn't passed, she wouldn't have gone forward. People can be coached to pass polygraphs. And who would be more familiar with polygraphs than clinical psychologists?

Barnett can not be confirmed because of her writings on Roe. She is not a serious candidate.

Can dozens of women be brought forth to say, quietly but confidently, that they categorically did not ever see him place his d*** in or near the vicinity of their faces? Cause, you know, ‘counterevidence.’ But really, I’ve got to think that his fan club might be losing a few members. It’s all so unseemly. On to the next nominee, please, and thoroughly investigate her this time, folks.

This is a federal confirmation process, dimwit. It is well established that the FBI has jurisdiction.

No, he RAPED you. I saw him! I swear!

Yeah, you two are not even brave enough to put your name on a DCUM post but you want us to believe you would endure the hell that Ford and Ramirez are facing?

Well gee, if they put their names to this, they couldn't go on to lie about it later now could they?
