Just read the texts. This is awful. Please tell me that Hayfield will not be allowed to continue in the playoffs now that these texts have come to light?

According to the story, this guy Fritts moved overseas to pursue some new "opportunity," and I assume is the opportunity to stay out of prison!

sorry for an uninformed question, but how does the AD at a public high school make money if a team wins a championship?

The West Va football court cases won by this. But again for Hayfield is NON issue bc has not been about residency for a long time now. This is all recruiting and fair play. Seriously ridiculous when 400 hours of investigation FCPS smells nothing rotten. Anyone involved in that should be fired from bottom to top.

This is a problem for Hayfield. If the kids were encouraged to say they are homeless….Ill let the numerous attorneys weigh in the possible crimes that would be committed abusing a federal act.

They will just say the kids were eligible blablabla. Which they may very well be under the McKinney-Vento definition. Which no one can disprove because they are discouraged from asking for proof.

There is no evidence that Reid saw the texts. I appreciated the airing of the texts, but journalism went out the window with that “It is understood that Reid has seen these texts.” That’s some straight up gossip and innuendo, and it cheapens the reporting.
