YT will score, like they did this season, a lot. However, will they be able to close the deal in games that actually matter?

Indy would probably lose to these times 8 times out of 10, simply because they can recruit. A team made up by the best players in 6A could easily dog walk prep, bullis, sta, and Gonzaga, and would have a good game with SJC or PVI. Plus, bullis literally lost to a public school this year, and almost lost to another one, so you can’t really act like these schools are the pinnacle of lacrosse while they are losing to students who don’t pay $50,000 dollars a year to play.

How many of the "best" players in 6a are recruited to d1? PREP has more on one team your so called Best players in NOVA

This may be the all time worst take on DCUM. Have fun at CNU or Mary Washington kid

Equally dumb take, have fun on the bench, kid. Hey but at least you “played” at HPU!

That’s funny because how many times have their own beaten them? The best Virginia 6a schools would beat up half of the WCAC and be competitive with the next couple.

I don’t see much of a great coaching job at all.

Here is the Madison offense:
1 sweep left off of high pick or
2 question mark from X

If it doesn’t work, just run it over and over. No adjustments, no other game plan.
Poor coaching on O. D plan was very good. Did 1/2 the job!

This is a great take. I am very disappointed that the Madison coach made NO adjustments at the half.
It was very clear that 22 on Indy was shutting down 5 for most all of the game. I think Madison had maybe 2 goals from settled Off. I know 3 were odd man rush (first 2 and LSM score), as Indy blew the 10 man. 1 or 2 were Man-up. Horrible offensive plan at Madison.

Going to be a controversial take but I have seen first hand how these things go:

I am thinking that either 22 or 11(if the 90 goals in season is correct) from Indy win POY.

3 at YT is a very good/great player, what is going against him is a goal delta with 11 from Indy and that he is a Jr and the Indy kid is a Sr.
Also, YT was eliminated early in states, Indy went to the final.

Further 22 was a region POY, shut down 5 on Madison in the final (and many others in the season) and again made it further then 3 YT and a Sr.

Like it or not and I know it controversial, but don't be surprised if it happens.

My money is on 22 Indy

Doesn’t that kid claim to be a 4 star? Is he even committed?

Yes I heard he is committed to Chatham University

Not true. I hear the kid may go to CNU. He is good, but not much if any better than several kids I have wit he’d play this season. I see a good player. I do not see a D-1 player compared to several other kids heading to top tier D-3. There is no shame in playing at that level, and I am not slamming the SB kid or anyone else. Players that are at the level are better players than 99.9% of the posters on this board.

Kid is legit. 4-Star ranked. Hasn't committed anywhere yet (deciding on whether to just play lacrosse or lacrosse + football in college).

The difference in the game was third quarter clearing from Madison. Think they only had one true possession that quarter. Great ride from Indy but Madison failed to complete passes to open players between restraining lines.
Madison had several scoring chances in transition and on settled offense in the fourth but bad shot placement by them. Besides 1-2 players there weren’t many matchups to get defense rotating. I agree they definitely could have used more offball cuts in the fourth. Madison dominated the first half forcing Indy to turn the ball over several times but credit goes to Indy for sticking with it and making the plays when they had the chance. Game could have gone either way. It was a fun game to watch. Odds on favorite for player of the year I would think would go to 22 from Robinson. He’s a better player than 22 from Indy. 22 from Indy is a great player but not as good as 22 from Robinson. It was a fun season to keep up with and best of luck to everyone next year.

PP here: agree that 22 Robinson could win POY, was he his Region POY? Many times you need to be your region POY to be in consideration for the overall POY. The coaches do this and I don't agree with it, but they think- how can you be the state POY if you are not even the POY of your own region?
