AHAHAHAHA that is amazing. This is why Purdue slinked away in fear from debating him. Purdue chickened out and withdrew from debating Ossoff. Could NOT face him. I love in the above clip how when Ossoff says loud and clear, "Kelly Loefler is campaigning with a Klansman" the Fox interviewer swallows hard at minute 1:33. |
Politics IS everything and this has been true for about 10 years now. I don't like it, but it seems inescapable. |
From afar, to me Loeffler's personal attacks on Warnock have gone over the line. Bringing his former wife and his family life into it was a step too far IMO especially when there is almost nothing there. Warnock seems like a fairly decent guy. If I was in Georgia (I am not), I would be kind of inclined to split ticket and vote for Perdue & Warnock. Warnock is definitely more liberal than me, but I would give him a shot and Loeffler's political career is best ended. |
Who looks at the GOP of the last four years and says, If I lived there, I would reward that party that worked in concert with Russia to change the outcome of the 2016 election, refuses to accept the outcome of this election, has given away billions to the very wealthiest citizens and to businesses but refuses to help people in danger of losing their homes and who are on the verge of being unable to feed their children, has at all points worsened the pandemic, mocked Black people and their allies, was unable to fix any of the problems they said they’d fix (and they had the WH, the House and the Senate for two years!), has said they understand that Trump commit a serious crime in trying to convince Ukraine to dig up dirt on Biden but that they don’t really care and he’d learn his lesson... I mean seriously. What goes through your mind? |
I am an Independent and I prefer divided government. I do not want a government that caters too much to maniacs like you or your counterparts on the right. I could go through and discuss your hysterical talking points but it's not worth it. I suspect you are a difficult person to have a conversation with and that people cringe whenever you bring up politics. |

Ossoff—the trump slayer!! |
What a ridiculously uninformed statement. The Republican Party and the Democratic Party are two huge umbrella organizations, each with a constellation of beliefs and political principles. If you vote straight ticket and get a government that is all one or the other, you STILL GET DIVIDED GOVERNMENT. Because each of these parties are made up of extremists, centrists, and everything in between. Elect just one party to power, and they'll debate among themselves just as hotly as they do with the other side. It won't be all abortion, hand-outs and free immigration, just as it won't be all controlling women's bodies, cutting programs and throwing immigrants out. You seem to forget that there are individuals behind party affiliations. None of them agree perfectly with each other. Some are more aligned with people from the "opposite party". Some will squash their extremist wing if they come to power just because they don't need their support (hello, should ring a bell right now!). My point is, don't purposefully split your vote in the erroneous belief that it will somehow make for better governance. |
Divided govt means ZERO government. Nothing except EOs will pass. What will it take for you to accept that the GOP’s platform is to destroy govt. Not invest in people, infrastructure, not even to address a pandemic. Give the Democratic party a chance or watch our democracy be further destroyed. |
I am sorry, but given the structural imbalnece in this country where the Senate and Electoral college are concerned, having a divided government right now will mean we mire further into the abyss of statis. Having McConnell in charge means NOTHING happens. Having Schumer in charge but with a 50 or 51 vote majority means a lot of compromise, but at least getting the court on the road to balance and sensible legilsation to repair what Trump has broken, or exposed as major loopholes on our system. |
+1. Yep |
^^Absolutely this. People wanting a dIvIdEd GoVeRnMeNt right now are acting like McConnell isn’t an obstructionist to the point of being a danger to this country. Sure, the idea of a divided government is nice when both sides act in good faith and for the benefit of America and her citizens. McConnell and the GOP do not. |
Okay, Trumpkin. |
Pages and pages and pages ago I asked in good faith what Perdue had done for Georgians in his six years as a Senator. That question got zero answers. |
