I'd imagine the same or next day. There's no rules and the entire Senate is waiting to change over on these two. |

Not true. There are rules. As soon as the secretary of state and governor certify the election, the candidates will be given a signed certification letter. They need to present the original signed copy of the certification letter to the Senate to be sworn in. So most likely they will be sworn in the next day. It is possible that on the day of certification that the letter can be same-day mailed to them in Washington or they can accept the letter and hop a flight to Washington and rush from the airport to the Capitol, but most likely they will be sworn in the day after certification or later. |
